This works great in my wood shop - unlike sweats or polar fleece, saw dust doesn't stick to this material.

This raincoat was just as expected. It’s inexpensive, packs small for travel, and will be long enough to cover a dress should I need it. Not the highest quality, but perfectly serviceable.

If there was an option for half a star, I’d give this 3.5 stars. It’s not quite a full 4, and definitely not a 5 star product, but it’s pretty good out of the box.It is very lightweight like a wind breaker (it’s definitely not for warmth) and it packs so conveniently into its own carrying bag. It fits well everywhere EXCEPT around my hips. I got everything zipped and buttoned, but it’s definitely a straight cut, not made for curvier figures. The image clearly is showing the cinched waist…it’s not a flair cut coat.The final issue that keeps it from being a 4 start product is what I’ve read in other reviews: the hood (which folds up and snaps into place in a hidden collar which is awesome) is so big it droops over my eyes. It definitely fits more like a cloak hood but likely won’t work well in rainy/windy conditions. Even pulling the drawstring doesn’t help. I will probably wear a baseball cap or another cold/wet weather hat underneath to offset this issue. Without a hat I guess the other opion is to clip the hood in place with hairclips which is a bit annoying.Other than that I really do like the raincoat a lot. It’s long enough to keep my legs somewhat dry (otherwise I’d stick with my other shorter jacket!). I’m looking forward to using it in Europe this fall. It’s a really good option for traveling.

The hood needs a rigid visor or it droops over your face, not being able to see is dangerous when walking. I wore a baseball cap with a plastic visor under the hood so I could see. This worked but was not ideal as the hood slipped off the baseball cap.

Works very well for light usage.
I read lots of reviews of this coat and some of the complaints indicate that people did not quite understand what they were buying. This is NOT a heavy duty rain jacket and doesn’t perform like Gore-Tex or other similar waterproof breathable fabrics. The thin fabric means it’s light and easy to pack but also means it’s easier to rip if it gets caught on a branch for example. The seams are sealed with a plastic tape which is the norm for “seam sealed” garments.I bought it mainly as an emergency coat when I travel or when running errands at home, and the fact that it’s very long was definitely a bonus. I find it’s a great improvement over the cheap rain coats you see tourists buy and immediately throw away. If you wear it without a thin layer between your skin and the coat, you will sweat as unlike Gore-Tex, coated nylon doesn't not breathe. I keep it in the backpack at all times and it’s useful not only for rain but on windy cool days where it acts as a windbreaker. I found it really useful on ferry rides where even on nice days, the air can get cold on the open deck or when sitting at outdoor restaurants in the evenings where the temperature can drop fast. I also carry a mini collapsible umbrella and it has saved me from totally unexpected downpours on the Amalfi Coast more than once. Lastly, I also use it in airports and on the airplane when the AC is blasting and I get cold. Despite the fact it’s very thin, it helps keep your body heat in.For my personal needs, this definitely rates 5 stars. Before faulting the coat, make sure you assess the use you want to make of it and that it’s characteristics are in line with that. I hope this helps someone.
Sylish waterproof coat at a very competitive price
Heading to Chelsea Flower Show - rain forecast all day. Wanted a lightweight, long waterproof coat to fit in my bag if not being used. This coat FAR exceeded my expectations. It is stylish and you do not look like you are wearing a "mini tent" as in some of the waterproof ponchos! It has both a zip and poppers to keep closed - brilliant to have both options. The drawstring at the waist gives the coat a lovely shape. The sleeves have elasticated cuffs, which are not too tight and then a flat section of the coat fabric to cover the cuff. The hood has a drawstring, so does not blow off in , when water drips down onto the clothes beneath the anorak hemline. The small carry bag in the same colour and material as the coat & is lightweight, easy to carry and the coat easily folds to go back in there, so no getting items wet in your handbag - in the sun/rain/sun climate of the UK! I received so many compliments for this waterproof. I do not hesitate in recommending this coat, nor in giving 5 *****. Brilliant.
