I love these pods and have been buying them for quite quite a while. Then I noticed that they no longer had the big pack available and only had the smaller packs which are very pricey. This last pack that I bought the pods have like a metallic medicine aftertaste that is absolutely disgusting. I didn’t know that there was a no refund or a return policy on these because I’ve never had to look for that because they’ve always been a great quality. I don’t know if it’s just this batch or if all of them are like that, but this is very disappointing. I would love to hear from the manufacturer of about what happened with this so I will try reaching out to them. For now, I won’t be buying again and cannot recommend to any of my workout clients.

I remember a doctor I used to work with stating that he eats to live, he doesn’t live to eat. That’s what I thought of when consuming this. It’s not the tastiest but it does the job (gives the protein needed with no sugar/carbs and fills you up) when doing a 3 day cleanse. I imagine most people that order this item order it for some sort of healthy lifestyle. Just keep that in mind before knocking it. Normally the stuff that tastes great are loaded with crap you don’t need and shouldn’t have in your bodies. After the 3rd sip you get used to it. It’s super convenient to take to work and add to water. I gave one less star due to price…expensive, in my opinion, for the quantity received.

I’ve tried two of the four flavors so far and they’re both very bland and weak. The chicken, turmeric and ginger tastes like very weak chicken flavor and the turmeric and ginger give no flavor OR color- it’s white. I used boiling water and stirred constantly and there’s still residue left in the mug so it didn’t dissolve well. It’s not explained if the 16g of collagen are part of the 20 grams of protein or if they’re separate. Why can’t I contact the manufacturer? I like the idea especially for hiking or other times this would be easy to carry but for half or less of the price I can get 32 fl oz of liquid organic bone broth elsewhere that tastes richer with similar macros. I feel bad bc I understand why this has to cost what it does but it’s just not something i can justify on a regular basis

UPDATE: I was contacted by one of the owners of this company and assured me that the product is definitely made from organic chicken bones and she does not know why the label shown here is different. Either way I am glad to know that the product is indeed what is advertised so yes it is organic.Buy this at your own risk. I thought I was buying broth from organic chicken bones based off of what the label shows here on Bolo. What arrived only showed free range on the package. Nowhere on the box or any of the packages did it say organic. I paid 89.99 but luckily Bolo was willing to refund me as there are no returns for this product. I’m not sure if that was a mistake or if this is false advertising. There isn’t any way to contact the company and ask. I have emailed them from their actual website, but I have not received any response.

I had originally started getting this brand about 2 years ago as a good broth replacement(needs a bit of salt and season) and non-dairy protein boost. The most recent time I got some, my body reacted (with both the beef and chicken broth) as if it was made with pork. I grew up not eating pork products, so my body rejects pork-based things with nausea and rejection of the substance from one or the other end. Ingredients say one thing, but my guts are telling a different story.
