When I found it a few months ago it was kind of dried out, the coconut scent had vanished, and it smelled like a box of crayons. While it was still effective, I'm not a huge fan of smelling like crayons, so I decided to order some new Lume. I primarily got it because its safe to use in places....other than... my pits if you catch my drift. Also not a fan of aluminum. Lume works like a champ!I'm not really concerned with stopping the sweat, I'm more concerned with stopping odor. I work outside everyday and in the summer I'm drenched from head to toe anyways. So Lume is perfect for my situation. It eliminates all odor, and by all I mean ALL. I don't care who you are or how hard you scrub, at the end of a long hot day outside, your southern hemisphere will have an odor in some form. Lume has eliminated this for me.I have not had any skin irritation at all using Lume. I know everyone is different, but for me there have been no issues whatsoever. It does leave a little bit of a "film" on my skin, I'm not sure that's the right word, it's not greasy or gross feeling, it's more "silky" than anything. Definitely not unpleasant. And I'll take silky over stinky any day. I prefer the way Lume feels over "regular" deodorant.Now for the scent... I have a "super nose" and can usually smell things when others can't so this was probably the biggest and most important factor for me. I ordered the Clean Tangerine, Lavender Sage, and Unscented bundle. Usually any citrus scented products give me a migraine, so I was a little worried about that, but I read so many positive reviews about that scent I decided to roll the dice. It actually smells amazing and I tried that scent today and haven't had the slightest tinge of a headache. I think it's my favorite scent. The lavender sage does smell good, but the tangerine wins. The unscented did have a slight (and I mean barely noticeable if you have your nose right on the stick) "crayon" smell to it, but that does go away after it's applied. I gave my son the unscented stick to try and if it works for him I'll order him a "manly" scent.After I ordered this bundle, out of curiosity, I did some research regarding my original stick of Lume smelling like crayons. I was horrified to read mainly negative reviews about how Lume smelled like swamp butt and sour milk. I was really second guessing my order at that point, not sure if something had changed in their formula since i bought my first stick years ago. Tons of people were being repulsed by the smell of their Lume. There was speculation in many of these reviews and discussions that perhaps only some people are able to smell this and others are not - much like how cilantro tastes like soap to some people and doesn't to others. I must be one of the people that can't smell the foul odor that others do, or perhaps its only the cream that has that smell. I tend to think it's more common to see negative reviews because people are more apt to shout from the rooftops when they have a negative experience than when they have a positive one. It smells great to me! So if you have researched Lume and read all those reviews - just give it a try for yourself.I do find it somewhat difficult to spend so much on a deodorant, but knowing that it can be used ANYWHERE you have odor without worry, I think its worth it. Also, a little goes a long way. It says it works up to 72 hours, but I would rather be safe than sorry so I apply it once a day. Maybe one day I will do an experiment.At the end of the day I'm really happy to have found Lume and I'm so glad there is an effective alternative to applying aluminum to my pits every day that can be used in other places.
5.0 out of 5 stars Vanilla Bliss Scent (My Fave Scent)
This review is for the Vanilla Bliss scent, since I took a risk with ordering it because there were no reviews for it yet. It smells good! Definitely my favorite scent so far. I have tried the toasted coconut and the peony rose scent (all good scents, but I just personally love vanilla). The Vanilla Bliss Scent smells like Warm Vanilla Sugar by bath and body works to me. Kind of reminds me of the brown sugar cinnamon poptart flavor.As for the effectiveness of the deodorant, it works for me but I use it a little differently. I use it under my arms, but not as my main deodorant. In the morning, I use a classic aluminum antiperspirant, and then halfway through the day I apply this deodorant over top to freshen up and remove any odor that may have come through. (side note, you can also use liquid glycolic acid or probably even rubbing alcohol in a pinch to remove odor. But I like using the lume deodorant for the nice scent.) It contains the ingredient mandelic acid which kills the bacteria causing the odor. I don't use it as my main deodorant, just a booster and it works well for me! Sometimes I also use it in the morning, immediately after applying my regular antiperspirant if I think I'll be sweating a lot that day and I feel like it makes my regular antiperspirant more effective off the bat.It is creamy, even though it's a solid stick. So when you swipe it on your armpits, some gets smushed out the sides when you put the cap back on. But I don't think it's a big deal, doesn't bother me.

I had been looking for a deodorant not a antiperspirant that could help my B.O. I read that all antiperspirant have aluminum in them and aluminum causes alzheimer's disease. Seriously, I think I had tried every deodorant under the sun until I saw an ad for Lumē. What a game changer! It really works. I use it after every shower but it actually works to cover up B.O smell too, not just prevent it. Lumē is absolutely amazing. I seriously acon not give enough stars or praise for this miracle deodorant. Believe me, if you follow me, you will see, if I dont like something, I dont hold back. I tell how I experience each of the products I buy and if I dont like it or it doesn't work like advertised you will hear it straight from me. I feel that is the only way to do reviews so other buyers can be aware of products that dont work and you would be waisting your money on.I have highly sensitive skin as well and I have never had a bad reaction from it. What is another nice thing about it? all natural ingredients, Yep it is a miracle creamy, nice smelling deodorant. OK, one bad thing in my opinion, it is a bit pricey but for aqs well as it works I have a subscription for it and pray that the price won't get out of control so I can keep buying it.

Oh, the natural deodorant debate.Number one I love the smell. It really smells like a true strong, Rose.Secondly, it does go on kind of thick, and oily especially if it’s been warmed up by your skin or the room temperature.So after a long summer day in Arizona or a long day in a tight black shirt or a linen top, I noticed that there is a residue from the deodorant that stays on my clothing.Honestly, I think that it did ruin some of my clothes last summer. I would apply where throughout the day and then when I got home all of the deodorant transferred on my shirt armpit area.The second problem with that was, I lived in an old apartment with shared washers and dryers, and there was no way it was getting out even if I hand washed them first so beware it does transfer somewhat because it is slightly oily!!

Amazing product
Absolutely a great product. I worm in a warehouse and it gets hot, so having a deodorant that works is definitely a necessity. I feel fresh all day. You can use it all over the body as well.

I feel completely confident with this on. Feels good on the skin and the scent is pretty mild
