So far so good. I did season this steamer with food grade mineral oil. This seals it and helps prevent mold. I've had two of these in the last 5 years and have never had a mold problem. I use these often mostly for manapua and pork belly. These support enough for a large ceramic bowl too. Just make sure you dry these out after use and season once a month. The silicone inserts are new to me and honestly should have used them soon versus parchment paper. The weave is tight and feel this one is gonna last me quite a while. Great quality, great value and super pleased.

I have never used a steamer like this before but it was very easy to use! I made bao buns that turned out perfect. The steamer was easy to clean and a perfect size. It was great quality and looks good too!

This contraption is awesome!! I never knew I needed a dumpling steamer but now that I have one, I am able to go to the local Asian market and buy lots of different dumplings to steam at home. It is so easy to use. Just place it on top of a pot of boiling water with some frozen dumplings inside and wait a few minutes until they steam to perfection. Make sure to use the rubber mat that comes with it to avoid sticking. And obviously, make sure to use caution when removing to top lid as the steam has built up and can burn you if you aren't careful (as with any type of steaming). This really is a quality product. Additionally, I did use the metal dumpling maker once but found the process of making dumplings by hand too time consuming so I will stick with frozen which come out really good.

I’ve only used the steamer a few times, but it has worked very well so far. I like the metal ring to place on top of a pan. I have scorched several other steamers in the past!
