He did not think it worked at first because he tried to open it with his hands, but the very first time he thru it it worked perfectly. This was the item he wanted the most for Christmas. He was not disappointed. He absolutely loves it. This is not a throw as hard as you can toy. This is a toss kinda toy. Just use common sense. I think it’s better then the nerf brand by far.

The media could not be loaded. This worked out of the box one time. I pulled the pin, the spoon flew back, the three doors opened and the three spring loaded inner panels flew out. So I loaded it with foam balls just like on the Bolo product page. Snapped it closed, closed the spoon and inserted the pin. It should be armed.As you see in my video. I can lift the spoon up and nothing happens. The spring tension has gone away. The other grenade, one of the outer covers would not lock into place. It finally locked after repeated attemptsNO INSTRUCTIONS WERE PROVIDED!SIDE NOTE: The panels on the inside, which launches the balls, is under extreme tension. A smaller child might have a harder time loading it because of the required hand size and hand strength.IF YOU PULL THE PIN, HOLD IT TIGHTLY OR IT WILL FLY OUT OF YOUR HAND!

Its basically a impact grenade you pull the pin throw it on the ground. 3 doors will pop open and 3 spring forced laches or doors will pop up. They can handle getting tossed on the floor without breaking but I would recommend just sliding it. What I dont like is the pin comming out just by tilting it.

This is so fun!! The kids love throwing them at each other and watching the pellets fly! I recommend safety glasses but other than that it’s a good gift and my boys (5 & 7) loved this!! So far we have had no issues and the grenade works as described, I will probably buy more so dad and I have a chance during Nerf warfare. Thanks again!

These things are cool but you have to use the yellow nerf balls or you have to cut regular darts. Little hard to close and load at same time but you can find online help on YouTube as it comes with 0 directions

These are really cool gifts for those that love to battle with Nerf type guns. Bolo was one of the only places I could find these! Great buy and value!

My nephew and I were pretty excited about these when they arrived, but immediately followed by nothing but disappointment after trying them out.The balls are pretty difficult to load in and keep in place and one of the spring-loaded arms snapped off on the first attempt so we moved on to the second one and got it loaded, threw it, and it deployed but the pin lever broke on that very first throw. That said, it was thrown pretty hard / far and onto pavement, so perhaps if you were playing on astroturf or something along those lines it would be okay, but either way I don't foresee them lasting too long in terms of how many good deployments you will get out of each.All in all it's a great idea with very poor execution in my opinion. I was planning on providing some video of them in use, but never got the chance since both of them broke within 5 minutes so we just toss them in the trash.
