About this item:
The NOCO Lithium NLP20 is a next-generation 12V lithium powersport battery—engineered to outperform lead-acid in every way. No sulfation. No acid. No maintenance. No activation. It ships pre-charged and ready for install, though charging before installation is recommended for peak performance and extended life. With over 600 amps of starting power, it delivers 2X more power, 10X more starts, and 5X longer life than traditional batteries—providing up to 50,000 starts and 2,000 full charge cycles. At the core is an intelligent battery management system (BMS) that safeguards against overcharge, over-discharge, short-circuits, and extreme temperatures, while actively balancing cells for long-term reliability—no reset required. Recharge in minutes, not hours. With just 5 minutes of charge, it delivers enough current to start your engine, powered by advanced lithium technology optimized for fast recovery. Its universal fit features a multi-terminal configuration that supports front, side, top, and female connections—plus modular trays and a removable mounting block to adapt to legacy group sizes and tight installations. Compatible with motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, scooters, jet skis, lawn mowers, generators, and more, it’s engineered for broad powersports and utility equipment applications. Fitment is easy—just add your vehicle to Amazon Garage to confirm compatibility. It replaces dozens of lead-acid group sizes, including B16L-B, B16CL-B, B18L-A, BTX15L, BTX15L-BS, BTX20L, BTX20LBS, BTZ20L, BTX20HL-BS, B50-N18L-A3, ETX16L, ETX20L, GYZ20L, GYZ20HL, YTX15L, YTX15L-BS, YB16HL-A-CX, YB16L-B, YB16CL-B, SYB16L-B, YTX20HL, YIX20HL, YTX20HL-PW, YTX20HL-BS, YTX20HL-BS-PW, YIX20HL-BS, YTX20L, YTX20L-BS, and Y50-N18L-A3. UL Certified and backed by a 5-year limited warranty, the NLP20 includes: (1) NLP20 600A Lithium Powersports Battery, (2) 3-Way Battery Terminals with (4) M6 Hex Screws, (1) Hex Key, (1) Removable Mounting Bracket, (1) 12mm Spacer, and (3) 15mm Spacer. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for cold starts and never has any issues. Also have heat protection

I finally bit the bullet and got the NLP 20 from NOCO and never had a problem since. Started when it was cold with zero issues. It'll fit anything with the spacers. The best part is it's guaranteed for 5 years and they'll replace it if it doesn't work. Something tells me I'm not going to have to worry about that though.
5.0 out of 5 stars Strong power. I'll buy again
I bought it for my Harley. Crank power is awesomely strong. Cranks with lots of force. No comparison to regular battery. I intend to buy for the car. Downside is it takes only a lipo charger. It was very cheap and also charged all other batterys.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great batteries
I've switched 4 motorcycles, 3 snowmobiles, 2 ATVs, and a SxS all over to NOCO lithium batteries. No regrets, great performing batteries with no issues.
1.0 out of 5 stars Lasted 11 month, not recommended due to HORRIBLE warranty
Be aware, lithium Phosphate batteries are a great addition to the motorcycle technology world, they really are. But be also aware the engineering behind this product is inferior and heavily under tested. The installation experience on a 2018-2023 Honda Gold Wing is about an hour, and it requires some patience due to cable length, but it fits. I have a '21 and installed in March of '22.I kept this battery on the recommended charger, a NOCO GENIUS2, 2A Smart Car Battery Charger/tender that comes with the Lithium charging option and enabled it from day 1. The Genius2 failed within a month, Bolo replaced with a new one.I kept the battery with this tender on the times I was nos using the bike, and it showed normal charging. 2 weeks ago, after a cold front, I pulled the bike, took a 50 miles ride, no issues, left it unplug for less than 24 hours, next day it was completely out. Multimeter showed 0.22Vdc. The tender could not charge it normally. I used the forced mode on the tender by pressing the 'Mode' button for about 7 seconds, it charged the battery enough to be able to start the Gold Wing. The joy lasted for another day, it died again at the Honda scheduled service center I had to take the Goldwing for regular maintenance.Long story short, charged again and died again. We tested for parasitic consumption and was less than 0.1 Amp and hour, well within the design. Contacted customer support via chat to place a claim on the 5 years warranty.Red flag #1 - NOCO will not send you return instructions until you close the chat session, why the fear of customer's reaction?#2 - From Customer Support: "If your NOCO product is not functioning within its original design specifications, and has not been altered or modified, please email me an image and detailed description of the issue, a copy of the proof of purchase, an image of the serial number on the product itself (not the box), your return shipping address, and a good contact telephone number, and I will provide you with an RMA and instructions for warranty services. Please note that we are not able to ship products to PO boxes. We apologize for any inconvenience..."This is almost comically designed to keep people from requesting a claim efficiently. All while you have your motorcycle/machine immobilized. God forbid that you use your motorcycle to go to work or any other high priority situation. In conclusion, I love the way the market is moving, but NOCO have ways to go on the NLP lithium battery designs and after sales experience. I love other NOCO products but for now, I'm keeping on the AGM/gel battery market while other options shows, if they have time, since electric bikes with long range options are right on the corner.

(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } So at first I had my doubts about these batteries being the cure all for powersport lead acid and AGM batteries. I took the plunge and bought the NLP20 for my 2005 Harley Softail Standard due to its fair weather application. This is what I know.First. Right in the instruction manual that comes with the battery it states that the battery management system built into the unit will not allow charging below -10 Celsius. So this would eliminate its use in snowmobiles unless your battery is in a spot where engine temps would heat up the lithium cells above that point or if your sled a relic and has almost zero load for accessories.Second. You do not need a genius charger but do need to pay attention to the amperage limits of the battery you buy. The group 20 battery for example has a 21 amp limit. So it’s good for most chargers. However the smaller batteries have significantly lower limits so don’t put 20 amps of charge into it. One would think the battery management system wouldn’t allow you to cook it this way but to guarantee it… pay attention to your battery charger selection. Also if it does shut it down it still won’t charge the battery and it would remain dead.Third. My old Harley battery was 15.6 lbs. The NOCO is 3.9 with the adapter plates required for my bike.I cannot speak to durability or life at this time.
