1.0 out of 5 stars Confusing phone; wish I never bought it!
I cannot figure out how to make a conference call or how to redial on this phone. I do not like the numbers of the phone lines being 1, 2, 3, and 4 above the 1,2, and 3 dial buttons. I get confused when an automaton answers the phone and tells me to press "1" to indicate an answer and then I press the wrong "1" key and mistakenly disengage the call!I wish I could send this back but it took a month to use it because our wifi company had my lines uninstalled for a month!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the home office
I have multiple lines, one for the house and two for the home office. Everyone is going to internet service and this works for that purpose as well. I happen to have the house wired for multiple lines. So my main unit will sit in my office, and I have the option of wireless extensions wherever want them. I was concerned to see the sound quality comments in other reviews but took the chance. Seems fine to me, plus there is a volume adjustment. Ese of use comment is that I have not read the instructions yet and some features did not seem as logical as I would expect.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality phone that is easy to use
I was looking for a good home office phone after my previous one developed some problems after many years of use. This Panasonic phone is easy to set-up, easy to use, intuitive menus, has a lot of great features and decent sound quality. The only thing I would rate less than five stars is the quality of the speakerphone sound, which is not as good as my previous office phone. That said, callers can seem to hear me fine, even if the sound on my end is not stellar. The handset sound quality is great. Overall, I am very happy with this phone and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid landline home office phone.
3.0 out of 5 stars good for office
this is good foe office use with multiple line but the ring tone are kind of low. I purchased this for restaurant use I don’t think it’s works good so far. The quality seems good.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good design, easy to install and use
Panasonic has been refining this product for many years. Doesn't do anything fancy but for four lines and ten stations it works well as a replacement for a key phone system. Pleasantly surprised, it just worked.
2.0 out of 5 stars RADIATION!!!!
Gives off A LOT OF RADIATION! I don't need it to be wireless. Why couldn't this company offer this phone as just a corded version????? Would have been perfect. I don't need extra doses of radiation on my desk all day.
5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT Phone System for a Small Office
I have been using an older version of this system from Panasonic, the KX-TG4000B, for many many years. The base station, with very similar functionality to this unit, has been rock solid...zero issues/repairs. All I've done is replace the battery back up, a special battery with connector. I did have the two remote handsets repaired, but given the age of the system, that was entirely reasonable.Given my thoroughly positive experience with the older system, I was excited to see this base station available through the Vine program. I did purchase one each of the extension handset and desk phone at full price.Installation is exceptionally easy, I had it up and running in less than 10 minutes. The battery back up is now 5 AAA batteries, easy to replace without having to order a special battery pack. I also plug this into a UPS, so I essentially have two levels of battery back up for my phone system. The extensions are incredibly easy to register to the base station, press one button on the extension and one on the base station...it's registered. No going through menu systems. This system is also easy to use....voicemail set up and message retrieval are a breeze. Putting calls on hold, switching to other lines is all very intuitive. All functions are clearly labeled and the menu system is easy to navigate. Caller ID works well and the display is easy to read in a variety of lighting conditions.Build quality is up to typical Panasonic standards. The handset, in particular, feels very substantial. Now the important part. The essential, critical function of this is to make and receive telephone calls. Call quality is excellent on my end and reportedly also excellent for the other side of the call as well.My only wish is that this had a call block function. My older system lacked it as well, but it would be nice to have. Please note in the photograph I have the phone on a plastic stand that allows me to store message pads underneath. That did not come with the phone. The phone does come with its own bracket that allows you to set it up at one of two angles, if you would prefer that instead of flat. There are also provisions to wall mount it, if desired. The KX-TGW420B is a worthy successor to the KX-TG4000B, a system that has served me incredibly well over an extended number of years. Another excellent product from Panasonic.
