I bought this item as a replacement for my Z grill OEM probe as it failed very quickly, so I bought this as a replacement. The installation was not hard. Been using it now for over two years with no faults or issues whatsoever.

Fixed my Zgills 1000 series. Yes, works on Zgills too, even though it doesn't state it in the description. I was getting HEr code for any temp over 250 F. Now it works fine at any temp.

Great replacement for the temperature probes that initially came with my Traeger Pro 22. Impressed that I even bought it in Australia, and these replacements here in the US work with the same unit.I especially like the fitting that comes with it to put a probe just above the cooking surface to get an accurate "cooking surface" temperature.Fantastic that I purchased this grill around 8 years ago, and Traeger still supports the components - something Pit Boss (especially via Lowe's) don't do.

Yes they work. But I am a two thermometer kind of guy. My manual thermometer reads different from the electric meters that I ordered. But this is my first time ever using my Traeger and the thermometers. So take that for what it’s worth.

Determined that the inconsistent temperature and random Her error codes were a result of a faulty temperature sensor probe. I have a 700 series Z grill smoker and this probe seems to be a perfect replacement. The difference being it does not contain the connector half way along wire which would make a swap out a bit easier. I recommend disconnecting the temp probe connector located half way along wire. Remove the digital controller and the screw in plug on the back will be apparent. Then install the new probe and simply pull the new probe wire through using the old wire. After installing I ran the smoker for about a half hour and it seemed to be good as new. Nice consistent temperature. On a side note Zgrill is also sending a replacement under warranty. They were responsive to my emails. I had already ordered this one before I heard back from them. Considering the original only lasted about 18 months it will be good to have a spare .
