5.0 out of 5 stars I use this everyday and will for as long as they make it.

I use the mocha flavor every morningI absloutely love this flavor (and the only brand that has an actual mocha flavor, not just choclate syrup they label as mocha)I love the thinner liquid consistency as it mixes in so much better with iced coffees (hot coffees as well)The calories are within reason, I dont have to add sugar when using this, you can but its not necessary (unless it is cause you like things sweeter)The pump can sometimes not work great (i keep one that worked well on a previous purchase just incase.) I mean pumps are known to fail so i prepare myself. Its happened maybe 3 times (of the 25 odd purchases I made)It smells like mocha (a pleasant subtle chocolate with coffee) its a delcious smell to me.I probabaly buy this way to often but thats because its a true mocha flavor not just chocolate.

Was looking for a mocha syrup for my morning coffee. This came with its own pump and flavors my coffee perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works in hot chocolate too!

I've tried this syrup at a local convience megastore. I always put it in their gourmet hot chocolate. It tastes awesome (to me). I'm not a big coffe drinker so I tried this Irish Creme syrup in some Irish Breakfast tea without cream at home. It was hard to taste the flavor for me. But I have tried it in my hot cocoa at home and got the desired yummy taste. I'll keep experimenting! :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost too sweet

    D.&.H. · June 17, 2021

I like a little coffee in my hot milk and sugar, so I don't mind a sweet cup at all. I tend to add peppermint syrup to my cappuccino daily and thought a little chocolate would be nice too. This syrup has a nice flavor, maybe a smidge to that bitterness of dark chocolate, but just a smidge. Alone or combined with the peppermint, this is a nice improvement over regular, plain coffee. However, I've found 3 pumps is way too sweet and two pumps is better no matter what size cup/mug I'm making. Once you get the balance right, this makes a pretty good peppermint mocha latte at home for a fraction of the coffee shop prices.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't taste anything like mocha! It's disgusting...

    C. · March 30, 2021

I've been on the search for a good mocha syrup and decided to try this one. I read a lot of the reviews and most of them were positive so I ordered it. Big mistake! This stuff is gross and doesn't taste anything like mocha. I tried to make three cups of iced coffee with it and each time I had to dump the coffee out because it was just way too gross. When I made a iced coffee the first time I added only one squirt of mocha. I tested the coffee out and couldn't find the mocha flavor at all. I thought maybe I needed to add another squirt and so I did. The flavor still wasn't there but what was there was a really odd taste. I decided to give it another try the next day but this time I added three squirts to it. So gross and so sweet. Dumped that coffee right in to the sink. And here I am again, hoping that maybe it was just me and made yet another cup the next day. Four squirts this time. Absolutely disgusting. A mouth full of artificial flavoring (that's what it tasted like), way too sweet and the mocha flavor was still missing. I tried to get it to taste like mocha and it just doesn't.This has to be one of the grossest mocha flavorings I've ever tried. I tried to look for the expiration date on the bottle thinking maybe it was outdated and that's why it was so awful, however, the expiration isn't readable. It's scratched off.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not just mocha

    i.l. · November 19, 2016

Tastes good in small doses (1 pump per 8 ounces), unfortunately it seems that there is some other flavor (vanilla or something like it) that becomes prominent with 2 or more pumps. I got this to make mocha milk, so the odd flavor (not bad, just different and not what I wanted) might not be so prominent as a drizzle or with something bitter like coffee.Unlike the 1st reviewer, the pump did indeed come with mine.EDIT: I've done some searching and discovered it's relatively easy to make your own mocha syrup that is much more potent than this stuff and is much cheaper as well. I've successfully made it and it turned out great! Some basic instructions:1. Get some coffee grounds (NOT instant!), coarsely ground if possible (it will make it easier to strain). I used flavored coffee, although I'm not sure how much of a difference it will actually make (it's still cheaper than this stuff).2. Put in some sort of bottle (I used a 2 quart juice bottle), about 1 part grounds and 4 parts water. You likely can make it more concentrated (I'm not sure by how much), but whether or not you use too much or too little you can adjust for that later.3. Steep in a cold location (33-40 degrees fahrenheit) for at least 12 hours, if not longer (24hrs)4. Strain. A cheesecloth would be best... but I made it work with the pot I would be using later, a ladle+strainer (to get a large amount of the biggest grounds when poured into the pot), a funnel, and paper towels (to get the smallest grounds). Slowly transferring it from the bottle to the pot and back probably was the best way since so much sinks to the bottom.5. Heat very slowly in a pot on the stove (I let some of my grounds sit in a strainer for ~5-10mins on a lower temp with this to get a bit more of the caffeine out since I had flavored grounds and wasn't too worried about bitterness). You should see a faint amount of steam, nowhere near boiling... then mix in your cocoa powder and sugar, stirring occasionally. I kept adding mine until I had a bitterness of about sweetened dark chocolate (in the syrup, but I also tasted it mixed in with milk). The tricky part about this is that you've got to mix not only for flavor, but also for caffeine level and syrup level. You could add more cocoa+sugar to get a thicker syrup (this will make it more chocolate-y), but if you like the flavor you could let it slow cook to evaporate more of the water which will condense it so you need less syrup to get the same flavor (and caffeine!). If shelf life is important to you, then you'll need it to have around twice as much sugar than water (if it isn't dutch-leavened cocoa, it will probably help because of the acidity... not sure if it will help just because it adds more particles to the mix). A small amount of salt might improve the flavor while also improving shelf life.6. Let cool and then bottle it in something (preferably glass and airtight). Storing in a cool place is recommended for shelf life, refrigerated if you aren't consuming it very fast. Also, after it cools and sits, it will taste better than when it was hot (even in milk). It's good for coffee milk (tastes like starbucks' bottled frappuccino but is incredibly cheaper!) , on icecream etc. Pretty much everything the syrup sold on this page *should* do.Sorry Eden Gourmet, I *wanted* to like this syrup but you messed it up (for people wanting mocha and possibly caffeine at least). And now I know how incredibly easy and cheap it is to DIY, so it doesn't even make sense to try overpriced syrups that probably aren't strong enough. I know most people probably would rather buy something, but there's only this and Dave's coffee syrup (which has $10 shipping on it!).
