So when I first inserted the batteries it did not work and I noticed other people had returned their item because it wouldn't power on. Well I got the flashlight out and looked at the stamped positive and negative on the inside and even though it doesn't seem to have normal insertion i.e - to the spring. If you insert the positive side to where it says positive and the negative to where it says negative The unit does work fine. I still have to review all the extras that come with it but the oxygen and beats per minute work fine. Update this post if I find anything negative about it but so good so far
5.0 out of 5 stars Need of Oximeter
This oximeter is the best one I have had so far! When i had respiratory failure about 3 years ago, the hospital gave me one which was ok. It did not last very long. I bought another theu CVS and it was fine, but when it died I decided on the iProven in Bolo. So far it's working beautifully and has a couple more features. One being a hemoglobin tracker of some sort. Very much worth the $. Which is very reasonable
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good product
This company stands by its warranty and will help you out if you have any questions. I bought this as a working professional since the product also displays respiratory rate. It is the only pulse oximeter ( I know of) that does this & so that helps me tremendously
5.0 out of 5 stars iProven Oximeter OXI-33
The media could not be loaded. Using this item immediately after it arrived was not meant to be, at least for me. I have an irregular heartbeat so I was anxious to begin using it right away. But I experienced the same trouble other reviewers have reported...it would not turn on.I replaced the supplied batteries with my own known good batteries but that did not help. The unit was constructed so well that I doubted it could be defective. Was I doing something wrong?I contacted the manufacturer. Within just a few hours I received a reply with very helpful tips. From their reply I was able to see clearly that I was not inserting the batteries correctly. Note my image showing the correct placement of batteries.Be aware that this oximeter does not accept NiCad rechargeable batteries. The voltage they deliver is slightly lower than what alkaline batteries supply. You will need to use only alkaline batteries in this device. Now I use my OXI-33 every day and I am truly pleased with its performance. It displays everything I could wish for. Plus it is a very sturdy instrument and will likely last for years. When I needed support they were very courteous and very helpful. This oximeter is well worth the money I spent.
4.0 out of 5 stars Screen is not as big as advertised
I gave this 4 stars because the photographs make the screen look much bigger than it really is. I kept it because it has a larger screen than my current pulse ox.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good product
I’ve only had it about a week and I was skeptical of the breaths per minute but it seems to be accurate!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great blood gas, O2 sat, heart rate, and blood gases instrument
Great finger wearing device like at your doctor's office. Well built. Easy to use.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and accurate oximeter
This oximeter is well made. It is heavier than others that I’ve had. It will last a long time. The pulse is very accurate compared to my physicians office as is the O2 level. I’ve never had an abnormal perfusion or respiration but it’s a nice feature to have. My only wish is that it could signal an abnormal rhythm with the pulse reading but no oximeters do that I know of. I recommend this oximeter and is worth the few xtra bucks.
