My father needed a new shaver head for his Braun electric razor. I could not find any in the big box stores as they weren't stocked so I came to Bolo. I will buy offbrand for certain things but not for others. This is definitely a genuine item that was very easy to install use pop the old one off and put the new one in. My dad says the shaver shaves like you again so functionality is a plus. With the new razor head it doesn't bind and pull the hair which means it is most definitely sharp. Because of this the shaver glides over his face which aids in a comfortable ease-of-use. For a genuine item it's definitely worth the price.

Do not get ripped off by cheap fake replacements. This Braun replacement really works well and restored my Series 8 to like new performance.

Don't bother with the cheaper copycat versions. They are all cheap plastic that does not last. Only the Braun version (packaged in a Braun blister pack) will do, even though it will cost $20 or so more than alternatives. Those other options won't last and won't give a clean shave. I know from hard-earned experience, and I prefer a bargain like anyone else! But don't fall for it, and don't purchase from an individual seller. Buy only from Braun (as much as I dislike their markup!!). If it doesn't arrive in a Braun package, don't even open it - just return it.

Works much, much better with an electric preshave liquid. I've used Williams 'Lectric Pre-Shave.Without preshave, the shave is not as close, or, it just requires many passes over certain areas below my jawbone, and still won't pick up some whisker hairs, and starts to irritate my skin. With preshave lotion, these problems go away and it does a good job of shaving pretty close without extra pressure and multiple passes.I also tend to think that these replacements are too expensive as it is hard to justify the price every 18 months or so. I also buy the liquid cartridge refills for the charging base. There is is the benefit of convenience and not dealing with the occasional cuts from using a regular shaving handle with the little microblades. And with a standard razor I have to keep up with shaving or shaving doesn't really work well, and with a an electric shaver you can miss a couple shaves and still come back and shave okay.So all in all, I still chose to buy this new shaving cartridge in 2024 for another 18 months or so of shaving. But if prices for the refill don't come down, it may be time to look for other options even if it's going back to non-electric. You can only pay for so many luxuries with high inflation dogging the economy every year lately!
