If you are going to try a hori-hori, this is the level of tool to get. Has all the right stuff especially a useful serrated edge and a great sheath. Lesser brands will have you hacking rather than sawing. There may be superior ones but this one makes me happy.

I have yet to buy anything made by Fiskars that was not an amazing tool. I should have bought this thing ages ago. it digs into even hard soil, grabs the base of a plant, and whether you are weeding or transplanting, this tool is exactly what you need to either weed or to transplant small to medium-sized plants. It is amazing and worth every penny!

Since it the tool’s construction is stainless steel, it is light, easy to use, and easily cleaned (vs. others that are heavy steel) and has a very comfortable handle, so five stars for the tool. The top of the plastic sheath is complete junk if used from a belt. It lasted maybe 30 minutes before the top broke off. I used a rotary tool to remove the sharp, jagged edges left from the break and cleaned it up with a sanding block. Now the blade section of the sheath can still be used for the blade and works great!

Really great for digging out weeds in tight spaces. The notched end really helps in getting under the roots. The product is heavy duty.

My steak knives are saved!
This tool cuts through sod and digs out weeds like a dream. I can now return my steak knives to the home repair shelf where they belong.

I dont know how I managed without this tool. It is so perfect for weeding , cutting grass around borders. It is very sturdy tool already getting a lot of use.
