5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, little tedious to assemble but worth it
As long as the shipping is good (and mine was, as they guys who delivered it were careful in placing it down on the ground and not dropping it!) then you are good to go.The box is extremely heavy and says "2-person carry." I was only able to carry it myself a short distance before just opening it up and carrying the parts to where I wanted to assemble it.It's like Ikea furniture, as you need to spend a little over an hour putting it together carefully, but the instructions are very clear and the parts are well-labeled - and it even comes with extra parts (which I didn't need). They even put in stickers to put over the metal screws inside, so that when you are done you wouldn't even know by looking at it that it's compressed material - at least I thought that was a nice finishing touch and shows that they took time to think about the finishing details.I got two of them, so put one together on day one and the other together on day 2.You have to be careful not to over do it when screwing in things, as it's made from compressed material so I used a drill at the lowest setting and the instructions say "do not use drill" because if you had a drill without adjustable settings you would probably destroy it. I just took my time and was careful and it worked out fine. It's a lot of screws to put in, some of which use a hex screw so I was thankful for my drill bit that fit the hex and made quick work of that task! They look great in the end, and certainly worth the sale prices which are an excellent value for what you get.Very sturdy as well. Says it will hold up a TV on top up to 100 pounds, and I think that's understating what it will do once you have it all assembled. I don't see it falling apart once you get it all together.I'd buy it again (and in fact I just ordered another one in white)!UPDATE: they've held up very well over time. I would warn you that the tops will scratch if you put things on top that rub them but we've been very careful not to put things on top that may scratch it and ours are still looking good. Definitely worth the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful & Functional
Easy to assemble and turned out looking beautiful. It’s functional, stylish, and sturdy and not overly heavy. Much better than expected.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice buffet, sturdy. Doors difficult to align.
This is a nice and attractive buffet that seems quite sturdy. The down side to this is that to get the doors to close properly and align takes way too long and is a real pain. Literally took 90 percent of my time in assembly to get good alignment on the doors The difficulty in alignment I think is because of the cheap hinge and latch parts creating repeated alignment corrections that takes a lot of time. Be aware of this if you purchase this.
5.0 out of 5 stars Mostly easy to assemble
Because this was sent by the manufacturer (makes sense....this thing weighs 96 lbs!!!) it took a little longer to arrive than I'm used to. Well worth the wait!!! I love everything about this piece...the style, the generous, but not overwhelming size, the storage. It fits PERFECTLY in my mid-century modern style dining room.As for the assembly...The first thing I noticed was "Two people are recommended for ease in the assembly of this product." PFFFFTTTT!!!! I'm female, 4'10", weigh less than 100 lbs., and assembled this credenza all by myself. All you have to do is follow one step at a time. Resist the urge to read ahead. Prior to starting, line up each numbered piece in order. For the components, have a shallow box ready, and put each packet in alphabetical order. Do not open any packet until ready to use, and if it's going to be used more than once, place it back in the box in its alpha order. The reason for the box is to corral any components that escape their packet.I assembled the piece in just under 2 1/2 hours - which is more time than I usually require to assemble a cabinet. What ate up my time were two things: Piece #1, which is the top of the credenza, has pilot holes on the underside at the front of the credenza. There are two pilot holes on the right inside top front, and two on the left. They are for the door stoppers. (Part E) The instructions require you to screw those pieces in after the top of the credenza is securely in place, which puts you at the disadvantage of working against gravity. I see no reason why those door stoppers could not have been affixed prior to securing the top onto the credenza. The second issue that ate up my time was affixing the door hinges onto the four doors. The pilot holes for the screws are barely a divot, and those doors are made of a much denser material than the rest of the cabinet. The door hinges at the top or each door are assembled prior to inserting the doors into the frame. The lower door hinges are assembled after the door is inserted into the frame. You will thank me for this tip: Take the time to create your own pilot holes (at exactly the spot the manufacturer placed the too-shallow pilot holes) on both the top and bottom inside of the doors with one of the screws provided to attach those hinges. Do this prior to attempting to attach any of the hinges.I really like the aesthetic of this piece....I was especially pleased that the manufacturer thought to have the doors aligned so that the reverse chevron of the wood grain would be featured. Speaking of aligning....my doors are a bit off, but I'm confident that I'll be able to get the better aligned by adjusting the hinges just a bit.Highly recommend!!!
Amazing product
It is awesome furniture. I was worrying about I might get returning this so I asked about return policy and seller response really quick. I don't need to return this product, because the quality is so great. Does not look cheap or cheesy at all. Awesome!
Easy to essemble
Its a pressed board cabinet but looks really nice. Looks exactly like the advertising picture.
Overall good looking buffet with average quality
I bought this sideboard for my condo. The overall design is beautiful and you pretty much get the exact looking from the picture. The assembling process is not too hard. I give it four stars because, as others mentioned, the doors are a bit misalighned. In addition, the magnets on the doors are not very strong. In fact, they are so weak I have to press the door to close it. Other than that, everything looks good.
Great for storage!
I’m a Massage Therapist and I use this for storage in my room. It is perfect for space. One door doesn’t line up perfect but it isn’t very noticeable. Love the MMC look.
Absolutely beautiful!
LOVE it!
