To be honest I was skeptical about spending the 10 bucks or so on these type of meals because they r pricey but I like to be prepared and like to no my family is gonna be taken care of and the way the world is these days and all the natural disasters and the uncertainty in people in power you never know what's gonna happen these ha e a 25 year shelf life and taste great a must buy for anyone who is preparing or just wants a good meal for the next camping trip i mean it's just super convenient to be honest wither way just add water shake and eat super simple

Food quality this product gets 5/5, the food tastes pretty good for what it is and has a shelf life of 30 years. My sole complaint about Mountain House Pro-Pak meals is the packaging. Not too long ago Pro-Pak meals were vacuum packed in mylar (same package material still used), the benefit to the old packaging was space saving and package integrity when changing altitude significantly. The new version isn't terrible, but I would gladly pay an extra dollar per meal to have the old style packaging back.
