I bought this to try out steam to clean some things I have not been able (or willing) to clean. So far I am loving the way the steam loosens the ick that seems to develop around the kitchen and bathroom. One thing I didn't think about was that you REALLY need a towel in your other hand to wipe up the splatter that the pressurized steam unleashes. The first thing I cleaned was my grungy yellow hair comb. Stuff went everywhere. Good thing I had it in the bathroom sink at the time. A quick blast on the sink and all the gunk was headed drainward. Then I turned around and looked at the shower. Even on the outside, the corners where the tile goes up the wall were dirty. Not anymore! And inside? I'll need more time, but the test spots seemed to clean up nicely. My wife decided on black grout because she didn't want to see the mold. Well, "black" mold is really dark brown mold when you have black tile and black grout, so you can still see it. My initial test on the tile and grout worked well, so I'll have to devote some more time to clean the rest of it.The unit came up to pressure much faster than I expected (about 2 minutes). The steam lasted longer than I expected. Eight minutes is what they tell you it will last. I was ready for a break, though. The cool off period before I could open the top and refill was shorter than I expected. All in all, it's very nice and I'm happy to have it. Next I want to try it on the bottom of the toaster oven and around the dirt inside the doors on my car.

I used this once and now I cannot release the valve to add more water, even after it has cooled. The red button on the top did not rise when the steamer was in use, it just stays stuck in depressed mode. Too bad that this cannot be used more than once.

Steam output is decent but could be better! I was having issues with the lid even after days of release and being unplugged! My husband had to do it for me because clearly my hands aren’t meant to use this! Cleans well and is easy to function once together!

All I want is a hand held steamer that works for at least a week. There are lots of accoutrements for this unit- especially for such a lackluster product. On the unit there is an indicator light which is to signal you the steamer is ready - hahahaha - my spit is hotter than the "steam" that is emitted from this hand water dispenser. There is so little sanitary value a wet rag wouldn't deliver in comparison to this product and without the cost - don't waste your money. - highly disappointed
