Let me start this review by informing all I am a huge horror fan and have a massive collection. It is my favorite genre, and I am very judging. I love all the Wrong Turn films previously and have all on Blu ray. I purchased this here on Bolo, and then read that the film was taking a different direction. Skeptical of course, I went ahead and bought. I was pleasantly surprised first viewing. The typical liberal you should feel bad for being white BS is there, but it's easily ignored, because they actually did a great job on this film, and you must watch it all the way through to the credits. It's a solid horror film with some great twists, but it should not have been named Wrong Turn in my opinion, it should have a different name, the film has nothing to do with the Wrong Turn films. That being said, I am happy with the purchase, aside from a bit of silly whitesploitation, it was actually necessary to set the mood here. Worth residing in your collection, there are some deleted scenes too and good extra's. Pick it up and see.

Just watched the blu ray last night and was very pleasantly surprised with this new take on the franchise. I own, have watched, and enjoyed all six of the previous Wrong Turn movies. Is this just another one of the same? Absolutely not - it is much better. The story is much more interesting and deeper than previous installments. The characters were all refreshingly real and modern. And the ending was just awesome. I viewed this as a new start for the franchise and hope they continue down the path that was started. We didn't really need a seventh inbred hillbilly cannibal story anyways. So, ignore the negative reviews that are complaining that this isn't like the previous Wrong Turn movies. Or that it's too "liberal", lol. If you wanted more of the same old stuff, go back and watch one of the other SIX movies. If you enjoy horror/survival flicks and want something new, check this one out with an open mind - you won't be disappointed.

I didn't like the movie, but it's good enough to hang onto with the rest of the wrong turn movies. The movie was not what I expected with the characters. It is really a movie that stands on it's own. It's worth buying!

While I anticipating the arrival of my blu ray, I read hundreds of horrible and nasty reviews. Finally I watched it myself and really enjoyed it. I’m assuming people hated the film simply because it wasn’t EXACTLY like the original whereas I felt an entire updated new vision was done very well. I was also shocked actually because viewers will be blown away at the movie taking such an unseen direction in the second half . Certainly the original will always be a classic film in the horror genre but I really have to say this remake was brilliantly written and had some great actors. New viewers please go into this film with an open mind and understand it’s absolutely nothing comparable to the original Wrong Turn franchise.... Enjoy

Loved this Easter rental so much that I bought the Blu-Ray for want of a 4K UHD disk. I truly loved the original from 2003 which I saw in theater . . . and I must say that this reboot is one of the very best reboots that has ever been produced. It is of the echelon of "My Bloody Valentine 3D" in 2010, "The Chainsaw Massacre" in 2003, "Black Christmas" in 2006 and *Unrated Director's Cut Halloween" in 2007 by Rob Zombie. I'm so happy with the twists & turns of this movie!!!

Look nothing will compare to the original for me it's one of the movies which got me into horror as a teen but this is a good movie also. It probably didn't need to be a reimagining and would of been just as good with a stand alone movie of its own but having the Wrong Turn name im sure made it few extra bucks and got more to see it. Well worth a watch good story and plenty of action and gore.
