I'm 73, with an old man's grizzled beard, currently at about 1 inch of growth. I wear it full in the winter, & the hair is neither thick nor thin. It tends to get wavy as it gets longer.I think that 1 inch is the minimum growth you need to get any effectiveness from this brush. It kinda sorta works on my beard, & if I pay close attention to getting the heat onto certain areas of concern, it has some effect if I use it after showering while the hair is still damp.

I got this for my husband because he is growing his beard out and it's really wiry and wild! He was always complaining about it and combing it down. As soon as he got this beard comb he went and plugged it in and used it and came out of the bathroom looking dashing! He absolutely loves it. His beard is tame now and he doesn't have to take hours to combing it any more. Bonus: It also works to tame my dauthters hair who wakes up every moring looking like a bird nested in her hair.

I bought mine a few months back and used it a few times. I put it away and haven’t used it for a few months because my husband ended up cutting his beard but now grew it back out. I plugged it up after being stored away and it just keeps blinking it won’t even turn on and I’m not sure if anyone can tell me why. Nothing is damaged or blown it just won’t heat up.

He has an extremely thick & beautiful red beard, this product is easy to use, with digital settings, and compares in every way against the pricey 100$ beard straitener(s). He was super excited about this gift and uses it all the time. As a cosmetologist, keeping his beard looking great important to me too. Works great for fast a touch up on my hair too. The photos are after(with a beanie)and before(no hat). It adds plenty of length once you straiten out the curls.
