The media could not be loaded. 2 8MM Bolts to remove and replace, takes about 3 minutes to replace, I was also able to salvage the original stickers off the broken one.Time will tell how durable this will be but I’m confident it will last.I have 9 Cherokees. I bought 2 for spares just to have them.T.Y.

This shroud was - from a Jeep veteran - one of the most exact fit matches from a 3rd party/aftermarket replacement product i've ever encountered. Fit better than OEM/stock on a 4.0L 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ replacing the shroud that was shattered when the serpentine belt slid off the pulleys due to an aged and deteriorating harmonic balancer. I was skeptical given the price ($17.95), but I was overwhelmed by the solid quality of the design, the exact match/fit and the sturdy packaging for shipment. If you own a 4.0L Jeep from circa 97'-01', this shroud will not disappoint.

I read previous reviews and complaints questioning sturdiness of shroud. The shroud is VERY sturdy.!! It fit PERFECTLY!! With some finesse, I detached it from the lower bracket and pulled it up from the bottom, I turned it sideways and wiggled it, while moving the fan blade. I installed it, using the same technique backwards. The whole process took approximately 15- 20 minutes.

This seems to be a very good product. The best and easiest way to install is to remove the four bolts that attach the fan to the fan mount which will allow you to install the shroud about half way down then reinstall the fan blades and complete the shroud installation. Anyway it worked for me. The fan bolts are a little hard to get to. I used an open end / ratchet end wrench and rotated the fan around till I found the best location for reaching each bolt.
