5.0 out of 5 stars Life saver, or at least day saver
I've bought 2 of these bags now. I easily get nauseous from food, from motion, from over heating, from breathing... Ok not that last one but you get the picture. These have saved my day so many times. I don't leave home without them. I first bought these for a trip to Disney world after watching a recommendation video on what to bring to the park, and they did the trick. I've used these at music festivals, theme parks, cruises (only a temporary measure for prolonged motion sickness), long car rides. Just make sure you don't take to many, this is not an everyday all day solution.
4.0 out of 5 stars They really work
I stumbled across these Belly Comfort® Lozenges from Traditional Medicinals while looking for something natural to help with mild indigestion and occasional nausea. I’ve tried ginger chews before, but most of them were either too spicy or too sticky for my liking. These caught my attention because they promised digestive relief with a blend of organic ginger and lemon—and I’m glad I gave them a shot.✅ What I Liked:Soothing, Not OverpoweringThe flavor is pleasant—a mellow mix of ginger and lemon that’s smooth and easy on the palate. Unlike some ginger candies that hit you with a fiery kick, these are subtle and calming. They don’t taste like medicine, which is a big plus in my book.Digestive Relief That Actually WorksI tend to get bloated or slightly nauseous after heavier meals, and these lozenges genuinely help. I’ve popped one after dinner or even on a bumpy car ride, and they’ve eased that uneasy, gassy feeling without upsetting my stomach further.Individually Wrapped & Travel-FriendlyAnother win: they come individually wrapped, so it’s easy to toss a few in your bag, desk, or car. No sticky mess, and they stay fresh.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good taste
Great taste. Not too spicy like so many other ginger candies. I've tried quite a few. If you like a more mellow flavor this is the one.
5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely worth a try.
Although I didn’t get much use out of them they work, I let my husband have them because he has a sensitive stomach and it worked wonders.
3.0 out of 5 stars Didn’t work for pregnancy nausea
Didn’t work for my 1st trimester pregnancy nausea. Taste was fine though.
5.0 out of 5 stars Immediate Relief
I’m an RN and I bought and sent these for my bestie who was suffering post-op nausea/vomiting while on pain medication and she said she had one and it gave her “immediate relief” from her nausea symptoms! She was finally able to keep food down and sit up and she was like, what is in these things?? :)Another success story I can share is my sister who suffered Hyperemesis throughout both her pregnancies, which is an illness of constant, unrelenting nausea/vomiting (not just during the morning) during the pregnancy which is often triggered by smelling different odors, and for her especially when people are cooking. She would often wake up and throw up, and maybe throw up 10-20 times during a 24 hour period to the point where we had to bring her to the ER to replace her fluids. She was put on medication to help her but medication use during pregnancy is so limited. These lozenges are often the first thing in the morning she would put into her mouth upon waking, just to get some type of glucose in her system and calm the sensation of nausea that she would wake up to everyday. Hyperemesis is one of those illnesses that is so defeating and difficult to go through and these are definitely something that made the symptoms a little better intermittently so that she could get through the hard parts and get some work done, rest, or keep fluid/food down when she was feeling really sick.I’ve used these for a year now for anything from nausea, to dry mouth, sore throat, and heartburn. They are wonderful and they actually work so well and faster than most medications I’ve tried! I wish we had them in the Pyxis at the hospital sometimes because they are magical. Definitely keep them in your medicine cabinet… and especially keep them in your arsenal for mornings after you have over indulged at a party! You will be happy you have them 😉
Soothing but not for stomach
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } These are a pleasant alternative to throat lozenges but they do not contain enough ginger to be effective for settling stomach issues. There are far better ginger candies that actually comprise enough ginger to be called belly comforters.
