I love Tangle Teezer brushes but I feel like the ‘bristles’ on this one are a bit harder and less flexible than the original brush. I prefer the original one for this reason. I added a photo next to the mini version for size comparison.

Sharp on the scalp. I have a lot of thick wavy hair, when I used this brush it completely ripped out a knot of hair from my head. Would not recommend for kids or anyone with a sensitive scalp.

This brush is great. My Dyson was melting other brushes. I’ve been using this one for years and it works great. Its easy to use unlike round brushes but give you a smooth blowout.

I don't know why I hadn't tried this sooner. I have waist-length, thick, wavy hair that knots up like crazy. I would use a long tooth comb and literally rip my hair out, and just thought that was part of the price of having long hair. I watched a Youtube video where they used this brush and decided to give it a try. I literally don't even know what to say about it, it's so good! I'm so used to just ripping through my hair, and I have a tough scalp, so I initially pulled it through my hair like I normally do, and there was zero sharp pull or pain. I knew it was brushing through and felt it working on the knots, but it's so gentle. I always would have a huge knot of hair after combing it, and when I use the brush there's less than half of what I usually pull out. It's just amazing. I use it right before I wash my hair, and then use the wide tooth comb to pull product through my hair, and it's smooth as silk.If you're on the fence, jump!

The handle on this is very hard to hold for me. It's curved in on the back side and makes it difficult to hold and it kind of slips around while trying to dry my hair. It doesn't have any kind of rubber grip on the handle either so the hard plastic is what you get. I would not purchase this again.
A bit hard
This brush was a bit hard for my thin hair. Gifted it to my daughter who has thicker hair.
