I did some limited research of collagen blends, and chose this MARINE Collagen Peptide because it contains wild caught marine fats - better for my personal overall health than bovine or grass fed collagens according to most of my research for the benefits I wanted to receive. I also wanted a collagen blend with hyaluronic acid, which provides additional benefits to joints and skin, hair, and nails. I chose the capsules, rather than having to mix a powder when I'm already rushed in the mornings. After the first couple weeks, my husband noticed that I was able to go up AND down stairs with ease for the first time in years. He was so impressed that he also started taking the capsules. I started taking these, about 2 a day instead of the recommended 4, and noticed a few days later cystic acne on both my chin and cheek. This is very rare for me nowadays - haven't had a breakout like this in over a year. Then I remembered when I had taken biotin about ten years ago for hair growth, the same thing happened. Lots of breakouts. I gave it 3 stars however because if you're not acne prone, I have seen a difference in my nasolabial fold (smile lines) around my mouth. Without doing my face yoga exercises, they've reduced quite significantly. So this is good stuff
