About this item:
Satiate your grumbling tummy and sink your teeth deep into a mouthwatering treat real quick. In just a few minutes, you can make sandwiches at home any time you want with the OVENTE Electric Sandwich Maker. Powered by a 750 wattage (120 Volt) that heats up quick and fast. The body is made of stainless steel that won’t easily bend or warp even under extreme heat and it effectively resists rust and corrosion too, even after continuous use. Serve your family favorites like grilled cheese sandwiches and pizza pockets. Simply assemble your ingredients and preheat the sandwich maker, coat the plates with a thin layer of butter and place the bread. When it’s done, you’ll have a golden brown sandwich with sealed edges and warmed filling. After using the appliance, just wipe the nonstick cooking surface with a sponge or cloth dampened in warm, soapy water to remove the grease and food residues on the plates.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, works great - just a couple notes
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } The Good:Heats up fast. Works really well. Does everything it says. Top and bottom equal temps. Even heat distribution. Great size for 1-2 people (I can fit 2 actual full size burgers on this thing). This is way better than a Foreman, at a better price. It's actually a Panini-type grill, because of the swivel-hinged top - so it's an even flat press on whatever you're making, unlike the angled Foreman lid. The Foreman is also not a 2-burger grill, for the 2 cheapest ones. It's just shaped improperly tbh. So esp given the significant price difference, this is a clear winner - with a few small buts to come.A couple reviews mentined there's no temp adjustment. This is true. I was concerned it just heated up and kept going, but no it has a max it reaches and tries to stay there. Honestl, I don't see much of a reason to need temp, personally. But I'm using this for Burgers occasionally, sausages, mostly sandwiches/wraps, I did make hash browns because another reviewer did - went fine, but no need in my case, I have enough pans. But yeah if you had limited alternative stovetop options, this can do a lot.If you've ever worked a commercial similar grill, this is a mini immitation. The top is like aluminum and can dent, but it's not like poorly made. But the result is identical IMO. If you've used some you may know a lot of them don't have removable plates, and you already know how to clean these - wet paper towel while it's still hot (just you know be careful). The nonstick is A+.The not so good:The grease runoff. Or lack thereof. So this thing isn't angled to have the grase run to the back - which is good, because it's also not angled to have it run to the center to the spout. Notice I didn't mention trying bacon - after seeing the burger situation, bacon ain't happening unless you're forcing that grease to the spout with a mini spatula or something. But - I assumed this when i saw the pictures. This is common with commercial ones also. Here, the Foreman has a better system. The reason this gets a pass is my tempered expectations - I suspected this to be the case, bought it anyway. The instructions even say this is a Sandwich grill, so they're really not even aiming at meats. Again, 2 burgers was fine. Keep an eye opn the bacon if you don't want a super messy cleanup. The only other thing is lack of removable plates. Again, I knew this. So this is more of a feature request. Along with a request for flipping plates with a smooth side. This would increase the cost but I'd do it.The bottom line:Works as described, grease runoff could be better. Price is a fair shake, I'd even say $20 instead of the $16 I paid would be fair. The size is perfect for smaller kitchens, no kitchens, or just as an add-on to your great kitrchen without heaving an appliance in and out of siome closet or taking up a lot of space on your counter. The company makes a good product so if they make something else that you may want but are unsure about the cost, go for it.If you just want a convenient little electric grill that gets the job done for basic stuff and more, accepting the "non-premium" caveats, this was one of the better buys I've made.
5.0 out of 5 stars Use when staying at hotels.
When traveling, eating out can get expensive. I keep this with me to make hot sandwiches for us when staying in hotels. Perfect size and works great.
5.0 out of 5 stars Don't need to know how to cook
Don't you just love George Foreman's? I purchased it for a son who lives off hamburgers. I like that you can cook frozen meat on it, and the food turns out moist. Son cooks chicken tenders on his grill. It sits on my kitchen counter, no mess, has a grease pan that's easy to clean. Wipe the grill while it is warm and it's clean.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works best as a flat grill.
First of all the cons:1. There's no on/off switch.2. No locking mechanism to keep it closed while storing away.3. The power cord is much longer than is needed, almost 18inches. Why not have a socket and force users to buy a 36 inch long extension cord?4. Red light green light mysteries. Green light off it's ready for use? Green light cycles on and off normally, sometimes red light is on, mostly red light is off.5. No built in timer, so if shut on a sandwich you had better set a kitchen timer or you could burn it.6. Seems to take a lot of time to get to temperature.7. Drip tray could be larger. A steak or several ground meat patties might have considerably more fat than expected.8. No adjustment for temperature.9. Plates are not removable for cleaning and unit can't be submerged in water to clean.Pros :1. Cost is low.2. Flat and open, large enough to cook on, both halves drain into the one drip pan.3. Cheap nonstick surface actually worked well for me.4. Small lightweight, can be packed for use while traveling.5. Probably would be great at warming tortillas instead of bread.I picked this over many others, after reading a lot of reviews. This seemed to be a good option to me, but as you see from the list of cons, I could have chosen more better because this is far from perfect. The hinge is the main complaint for me. I wanted a sandwich maker that could be opened flat for burgers or dogs, yet would allow a sandwich to be toasted by accommodating the thicker dimensions with a "floating " hinge, and this won't do that, pinching the sandwich between the plates instead. If you are serious about toasting sandwiches, you want to pass this by. It does work ok, and as a flat grill it should be great, but watch the amount of fat in the drip tray especially when you cook bacon or other fatty foods.2. Lights are confusing but look nice.3. Lays flat open to use as a flat grill surface.
5.0 out of 5 stars Buena calidad. Llevo casi 2 años usándola

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
Works as advertised, another happy customer
3.0 out of 5 stars Tarde un poco en calentar
El precio esta muy bien y me gusta que se puedan cambiar mas planchas, sin embargo tarda un poco en calentar. Lo he usado solo con sándwich, aun no se como hacer los wafles
4.0 out of 5 stars Slower than my previous one
Its is based on a good design. The problem I have with it is that it takes so long to cook a waffle. I used to have a previous one from another more popular brand in the US ajd that one used to take 3-4 mins to cook a waffle batch of 2 golden brown. This one takes 10 mins ta almost the same gokden brown result. I tried for a few batches back to back and it took 30 mins total (3 batches of 2) compared to my previous one who used to take 10 mins for 3 batches. So yea, the removed star is because of this.
Very convenient sandwich maker
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } It comes with different plates, and I can make waffles, panini, sandwiches etc. The waffles won't be as crispy as those for cafes, but still good enough for families.
Excelente producto a buen precio
