It needs to be sweet and soft, meaning ripe. This pineapple is very good and meets that criteria. I had been buying the Del Monte brand but it was always out of stock which was quite frustrating. I'm glad to find this Tropical Gold pineapple because I'll be buying this from now on.

Fantastic pineapple. I love anything pineapple. I usually get the tidbits and I couldn’t wait. I got the chunks this time. I use them in fruit salad a lot and we also love pineapple upside down cake. . My son is allergic to fresh pineapple and this is the very best thing for us. One bite and you know how great this fruit is. I added sugar. It is perfect!!!

This product is worth every penny! The pineapple is sweet and fresh. Also very soft and easy to chew. You would think these would have a ton of sugar WRONG. Only 15g and soo delicious when you have a sweet craving! It came in great condition and cans were not damaged. Highly recommend!

The first case of 12 cans I received was heavily damaged although the shipping carton (including other items in order) was fine. Looks like Bolo is shipping “damaged freight” without any disclaimer or price reduction.Just received the replacement case and I’m happy that there is minimal denting.The first can I opened was tasty. I did find that the chunks included a lot more of the tough, fibrous core of the pineapple than the similar “gold” pineapple product from Del Monte. As a cost-conscious shopper, I will probably stick with Del Monte Gold in the future unless this Dole product is significantly cheaper.

The pineapple is really good. I'm not sure why people are giving it a lower rating because of the dented cans. Who cares!? If you plan to display these cans above your fireplace on the mantel then maybe just buy them in store. On a side note, my cans were not dented. Perfect condition, and now a family heirloom lol

Abused cans with oxidation on the top rim of cans

I'm sure the fruit inside is fine and meets what ever standards for freshness and quality. I'm not sure why or HOW the cans got so beat up!?!?!? The box they arrived in was fine, so that tells me someone at either Dole or Bolo beat the he'll out of these cans BEFORE they packaged them in the Dole packaging!!!!The oxidization on the rims of the cans is more concerning to me!! Again, why or how did these cans get chosen for shipment!?!?! At the local grocery stores here in Ontario Canada sell these dented cans at a HUGE discount!!If they come like this in the next shipment, I will be sending them back!!!
