I sprinkle these in with Great Grains cereal in the morning. They're crunchy, taste great, and don't add much salt. They'd be good for cooking, too.

After I opened the bag, I was a bit disappointed because I didn’t feel these almonds were very tasty (I should have probably expect that considering they are raw and unsalted) but, as originally intended, we used them as salad topper and the result was great. Adds a good crunchy texture, nutritional values and good (but sort of subtle) taste, . I believe they would also be great for cupcakes or other baking products, so we will try them on those as well. Look and taste fresh. Would definitely recommend as salad topping.

This bag arrived well sealed and was fresh. These almonds are slivered nicely into small pieces. They are raw and unsalted which makes them ideal for cooking as they have not yet been roasted and can withstand being baked or fried and you can control the amount of salt added in those recipes. The small size makes them nice in stir fries or pasta dishes, as well as baked goods. They do have a mild flavor, but the flavor is brought out upon cooking them.

Raw Natural Slivered Compares To Organic California Almonds (2 Lbs.)... I'm not sure I care for the wording in the title of these almonds as "compares to organic California almonds".Country of origin is suspicious, though... I can't seem to find any information about where they source the nuts. Packaged by FarmFreshNuts, Brooklyn, NY but the actual origin of the nuts is questionable. The website for FarmFreshNuts vaguely mentions 'Product of: USA'. Why not just say where the nuts are from? Other than this oversight, the almonds are great but knowing that the origin is masked is troubling. Something shady ...UPDATE: I called the phone number on the bag, a fairly unprofessional young lady answered, and had to put me on hold while she asked 'her boss'. She came back to say only "California". Questioned further about why it's not on the package she began to stutter. Her English was very good but hints of it being a second language came out upon being questioned further about the true origin of the almonds. I thanked her and that was it. She said "Bye." like we were polite acquaintances that she hoped not to see again LOL. Something shady ...Recommended, although why hide that they are from California unless they actually aren't?

Perfect for snacking, baking, or salads! Love almonds and love how finely these are chopped.... very skinny slivers. Quite a decent quantity for the price, will order again. Taste is ... well, like almonds!
