My dog picked it right up
5.0 out of 5 stars 3 things I’m happy about
(disclaimer: got it only few days ago for my epileptic 1.5yr old dog and obviously cannot say it’s been helpful yet; please do your own research on benefits of MCT oil in dog diet)1. Poured it into her dry food, in my case about 3.8ml three times a day, she finished her bowl and licked it clean! Tried the same thing with adding 1oz of warm water - equally good;2. The container design is perfect for syringing, no mess!;3. Arrived safely, the container is safe and I’m in Hawaii:)ONE MONTH UPDATE:It got harder to have her finish her bowl of kibble syringed with oil so I added a spoonful of can food, nicely mixed, and it works. Need to mention the dog is not excited about her food at all but does finish it.Will do a 6 month update if MCT oil helps with dog epilepsy along with LEVETIRACETAM she’s been on.So far, 3 months of her meds and one month of MCT - no seizures!
4.0 out of 5 stars Mostly good
Using a second bottle for my seizure dog. It is actually easy to use the pour cup and less messy. But the bottle does still get greasy. The first bottle came halfway unsealed and the cup was full already. I was upset and tried to return it. It is unreturnable. Can't even ask for a refund. This should have at least been refundable as it was OPEN. After I cleaned the bottle up I was less unhappy. It did seem to be full and the box wasn't soaked so I don't think much came out. But I couldn't find a way through Bolo to contact someone for a refund. Every time I hit 'contact us for a refund' it brought me back to the refund help page. The second bottle ordered was fine.
5.0 out of 5 stars Canine Dementia! Say it is not so.
My 13.5 year old Labrador was just diagnosed with dementia. We had symptoms such as going to the back door and just standing there (vet cleared him of eye issue), falling on walks (vet cleared him of any joint issues), and barking at night as if he was never fed. Vet recommended I put him on a special prescription based diet that would run a little over $200/month. Obviously a hefty bill and of course I set to the WWW to look for alternatives (if there are any). It took some time, but luckily I ran into an article reviewing the prescription dog food my vet prescribed. The vet said the biggest difference between the prescription based dog food and other dog food was that it contains MCT oil. She also stated that it contains a lot of sugar, which would be more harmful than good in senior dogs, so I bought this oil.We have only been using the oil a month and he seems to be lasting longer on walks and has way more energy. He did still have a fall this last weekend during a walk, but nothing like we have been going through. He does still bark to be fed a second time in the evenings, but if I sit with him he seems to calm. We really do not have any more episodes of just standing at the back door. I do see an overall improvement of his energy. He has been like a puppy up until this last year, so it was sad to see his decline so quickly. I will continue receiving this item monthly. I should note, I do use a little less than recommended amounts. This MCT oil is a breeze to dispense as a result it is not messy. The oil appears to be helping with some of my dog’s symptoms and is overall saving me money.I have not noticed any reactions to the oil.The oil does not have an odor and is easy to pour directly on my dog’s dog food.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality product
I have ordered this product several times after it was recommended by our veterinarian. I pour half the dosage over my dog’s food in the morning and evening feeding. He never hesitates to eat his food with the oil on it and licks his bowl wanting to get it all.
1.0 out of 5 stars I guess it tastes awful.
It took me a while to figure out, I thought my dogs were sick. When I put the oil in my two dogs' food, day by day, they eat less and less.
3.0 out of 5 stars Wouldn't eat
Used this for a while. Not sure if it made a difference but my dog eventually didn't want to eat her food if this was in it.
