Years, then the squirrels came back and ate $800 worth of wiring in my car. If you use this stuff, you need to re spray every couple of years or sooner.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love this!
MUST HAVE! I use this regularly to protect my car from rodents especially during winter time! It also smells great!
4.0 out of 5 stars Preventative measure
This spray is good for keeping mice away but it doesn't kill them. The D Con green square pellets work well for killing mice. I don't ever have rodents because I use this spray as a preventative measure. Plus there's a lot of cats in my neighborhood. It smells good so you can spray inside as well as outside and you should because you never know if your neighbor might have rodents. That's all~Im grossed out now🤮
3.0 out of 5 stars Smells good. Not certain how well it works
Love the smell! Very pleasant. (I can't stand the smell of dryer sheets for rodent diversion). However, I'm not certain if it really works. We're having terrible problems with rats chewing on electrical wires in the SUV (Honda) costing $1500 in electrical repairs, and also some chewing of insulation and plastic components and lots of droppings in the engine compartment (Ford Transit RV). Rather than dryer sheets, I tried this product at the recommendation of our car repairman. It initially seemed to possibly reduce the amount of rodent droppings found in the engine compartment - but after vigorous spraying the RV engine and wheel wells, I found many NEW rodent droppings in the of the engine compartment just 2 weeks later. Nothing new was chewed however. So, I'm still using it , but not absolutely certain it works. My "rat man" (monthly pest control) recommends dryer sheets in the car engine - so I've decided to try them despite the nasty smell. Rats rule the world!
5.0 out of 5 stars It works
Keeps mice out of out place. We live in the outskirts of town with corn fields across the road so this helps.
1.0 out of 5 stars Expensive air freshener, but nothing else...
If you're ok with spending $17.99 to make your home smell nice, rather than spending $1 for an air freshener spray, then this is the product for you. If you're looking to prevent mice from entering and remaining in your house, look elsewhere.I live in a rural area, so mice are an expected nuisance, especially in the cold temperatures of winter. I don't believe in killing any living creatures, so I use humane traps to catch mice, and then relocate them far enough away that they won't return. In researching how to prevent mice from entering my home in the first place, I read that peppermint oil has a scent that repels rodents, so I decided to give this non-toxic solution a try. This particular product's description and reviews sounded promising, so I gave it a try. That was a mistake.I sprayed this product all around the inside and outside of my house: interior and exterior walls, window sills and doorframes, any possible entry points, and spots where I had recently caught mice. I repeated this process several times within the past 11 days. I was worried about how the spray would smell, but it actually has a very pleasant scent, which wafted throughout my home. The pleasing aroma ended up being the only benefit of using this brand of spray. Unfortunately, mice seem to enjoy the smell too.During the 11 days that I have sprayed Harris Peppermint Oil Mice & Rodent Repellent Spray, I have caught a total of 9 mice, always in spots that were doused with this repellent. Apparently mice are not repelled by this scent at all. They have not left my home, and they have not stopped entering my home. This "repellent" has not deterred them one bit. Since squirrels are also rodents, I was worried that spraying this product all around the outside of my house would deter them from eating from the feeders on my porch. It has not. All 13 of the squirrels are still congregating on my porch all day every day.I'm not sure if peppermint oil truly works as a rodent repellent or not. This particular product, Harris Peppermint Oil Mice & Rodent Repellent Spray, smells great, but is completely ineffective at repelling mice. If you want your house to smell nice, save yourself some money, and buy a $1 air freshener spray. If you want to keep mice out of your home, try something else...
5.0 out of 5 stars Haven't Noticed The Problem Since!
We had something getting under our hood and chewing on stuff. One time, whatever it was had left us a nice smelly present right on the engine cover, front and center... Right on the oil fill.. So, I cleaned it up, had no problems for a few months and then something got in again and started chewing things, also making the air going into the cabin from conditioning smell not so good, smh. We couldn't take any more of this and needed a solution immediately. Especially before any real damage was done! After much research, peppermint seemed to be something cheap that I commonly came across as a potential fix to the problem besides purchasing devices to test out. So, after spraying some of this around the engine bay I was kind of worried because the smell of peppermint is somewhat strong during application, and I don't want my cabin smelling this strongly. But, to my surprise, you barely even notice it inside the car in comparison, and after a bit of time you barely notice it at all.So, to wrap this up, I haven't noticed the problem since applying this under the hood. I even bought some pure peppermint oil and added a few drops to make it stronger. Since it seemingly worked so well normally, I figured a bit more peppermint may even help out any neighboring cars in close proximity when parked in our lot.So far so good, haven't noticed any critters since, and car smells so much better now when you cut on the air. Now just got to fork over the bill to have the air ducts and engine bay cleaned out to completely rid it of any residual. Spray again after...So far so good. I'd recommend it based on my experience so far. It seems to work as advertised. I will just say it could be cheaper though.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great smell and effective indoors and out!
What a wonderful spray for bugs and overall room fragrance!!! Don't have mice but sprayed in yard when skunk drifted by....smelled only this, thank goodness!
