The item is meant to provide limited protection for people that fall out of bed occasionally. The construction allows the mat to be easily folded for storage when not needed. I really appreciate the peace of mind it provides for my loved one.

This is just what I wanted for my husband who has had a stroke and has fallen out off bed a few times. Convenient to fold up when not in use. Just the right size.

It's nice and sturdy and folds in half which makes carrying and storage easier. The prior one I had came apart pretty quickly but this one I think is going to hold up. The only thing I wish it was a little bit longer because my husband is very tall, but I guess it doesn't have to go all the way down to his feet. If he were to fall his crucial parts would be protected. It would be nice if it were a little bit thicker too but all-in-all we're happy with it
