I’m allergic to chicken including egg yolks which means that regular mayonnaise is a no-no for me. This has been a great substitute for me. The taste is spot on. The texture is just a teeny bit runnier than the real thing. I’ve only used it on cold sandwiches, to make tuna salads, and as a salad dressing so far.

Expensive BUT a healthy, plant-based (vegan) option, so in my opinion, totally worth it when you’re paying for your health! I highly recommend!!!

It's so disappointing. We have bought dozens of jars of this in the past when it had superior tart flavor and served wonderfully as an instant dip for veggies--alone or with seasonings like curry powder--a thickener for soup that made soup thicker, creamier, and tart at the same time, a great dollop to add on top of a hot curry, etc. etc. etc. AND it also worked for tuna salad or chicken salad. The extra tricks it could play were due to the extra tartness and the chickpea flour. It was one-stop-recipe-improvement. Over the years from time to time they have changed it a bit but not enough to make it stop being valuable to us. Just recently after it was out of stock for a while (I wrote and asked why and got no answer), it came back in stock. We now own 6 24-oz. bottles of a product that did not say it had been reformulated and which does not taste or smell or feel or behave the same. It looks paler, has an oily feel in the mouth, is less tart and just not appealing. They have changed out the gum and changed chickpea flour to chickpea protein. Everything I make with it is less good. And in soup, instead of thickening the soup, it curdles. I don't know why they made this change, though I can think of some reasons. But now it actually tastes less good than many commercial mayonnaises not made with avocado oil. I'm seeking alternatives. Sir Kensington is not quite like the old Chosen but is peppery and interesting. But not made with avocado oil. I've written to Chosen to ask them, if they are going to sell this one, to give it a new name, and to bring back the old one, as "classic tart" or "recipe booster" or something, so we can still buy it.

Given idk a lot of vegan mayo out there but this is definitely close to what regular Mayo tastes like. My son is allergic to eggs and I still want him to be able to eat stuff that I will normally eat. It does have a runny consistency and not thick and fluffy like a regular Mayo. Only downside is the price. I just don't think $10 for this is reasonable.

This is the best mayonnaise I've found (to my taste) that is soy-free. It happens to be vegan, too, so that's a plus.The texture is thinner than typical mayo, but there's nothing wrong with it -- I haven't encountered any problems with it significantly affecting the texture of whatever I'm using it for.

I have never reviewed a food item before, but I feel compelled to say that these people do the best alternative mayonnaises I have ever had!! And this is coming from a lover of pure original Best Foods mayo. As another reviewer mentioned, the consistency of this mayo is a little thinner, but I don't care!! I can look forward to mayo again!! It's not exactly the same, but it pushes all the right buttons. :)

Product flavor wasn't bad for being a vegan Product. Consistency of the product was very thin compared to Hellmans mayonnaise. Not good for making potato or macaroni salad because of the thin Consistency. Okay for sandwiches.

Got this for my husband but did not like some of the ingredients but we gave it to my mother in law who loved the mayonnaise as she is a vegan
Product separates in shipping
I’ve bought this product in store and been very satisfied. I appreciate avocado being the oil used, however it seems to separate in shipping, likely due to the change in temperatures as some oils can be quite sensitive and the product may need more emulsifiers to prevent this. I opened the product and it does not smell rancid but is not really useable as a mayo. I was able to get refunded through customer service live chat. This also happened with a regular organic mayo from the same company. Sounds like they may need to look at their formulas if they plan on shipping. I will stick with purchasing in store when I can find it.
Nasty!!
These items came and they are all liquid. The colour is a brown grey and I just find out that I can't return them. That isn't nice. No way can this product be eaten. I even put it in the fridge and it still won't settle. Very nasty. I am certainly not happy. I thought Bolo stood behind the products they sold. Looks like I am out $20 because this is not edible.
No Seed Oils
Finally a vegan mayo without the usual seed oils (sunflower, canola, soy oil etc) that have been correlated to inflammation in the body. Instead they use preferred avocado oil for a great taste and healthier option. Glad I found it on Bolo. Not available in the grocery stores in my community.
