About this item:

  • CULINARY BLEND. Ujido’s Summer Harvest Culinary Matcha is a 2nd harvest high culinary grade Matcha picked in early summer for a delicious flavor closer to ceremonial than later harvests. This Matcha is shade grown as any true Matcha should be.
  • ANTIOXIDANT SUPERFOOD. This green tea powder is slow ground to preserve color and flavor as well as the natural superfood nutrition of L-Theanine, catechins, EGCG, and chlorophyll. Gluten free and keto friendly, this blend is recommended for drinking as tea and in lattes as well as in cooking or baking.
  • SMOOTH & MELLOW. Summer Harvest Culinary Matcha has a smooth, mellow, soothing flavor that many enjoy without adding much sugar, honey, or any other sweetener. Try it in a latte or baking.
  • JAPANESE HERITAGE. Ujido Matcha is grown in Uji, Japan, the birthplace of Matcha where Matcha has been produced for over 800 years. This is the same highly sought-after tea used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.
  • SUPERIOR QUALITY. Ujido is a Japanese company providing real Matcha, not sencha or regular green tea from China like many others on the market. Our Matcha is grown in the foothills of Uji, where Matcha was born and is free from metals and radiation. We never use lower grades of Matcha from lesser regions. We live and breathe the Matcha lifestyle, from farm to latte.

Used to make the NYT Cooking matcha latte cookies, came out delicious. Makes decent matcha tea too. A good value and amount for intermittent use in baking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great and not as bitter as many other brands

Most of my family really enjoys Matcha lattes. We try to make them without sugar and this is very hard to get out in the community at the local coffee shop. This product works amazing with honey or maple syrup or Stevia. We use whole milk with the splash of cream a dash of salt and make sure to steep the tea at 185° or less. I also add some vanilla. It literally makes the best Matcha ever.

I didn't know that there was a difference in the matcha teas. Ceremonial drinking vs culinary. I will try what my friend gave me to try & then I'll try the culinary type. I will try to remember to come back & post an update to this review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Healthy never tasted so good

    J. · July 15, 2021

Matcha tea has so many health benefits due to the incredibly high amount of antioxidants, catechins. I’ve always drank regular green tea (bags) and flavored it with honey or sugar. So I am shocked, but happy to say that I have drank this daily and not once added any sweetener to it. It has a good taste just as is. Do invest in a Matcha whisk to ensure your tea is not grainy.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's 'such better quality than the cafe's I like Matcha because of the good health benefits!👌☺️

5.0 out of 5 stars My coffee replacer

    C. · February 11, 2019

Since discovering Matcha Green Tea I no longer feel the need to drink coffee upon rising. I make a base green tea in my coffee maker and add this matcha mix into it. Great stuff! Although I still like coffee the green tea works much better in my body and I don't have those crazy withdrawals (headaches) I'd get with coffee. I feel vibrant and well and will continue to use this product.
