Good Segway branded lock. Lightweight, yet sturdy. Would probably deter a thief for long enough while you're shopping or sitting in a restaurant. Appreciate the fact that it is secured in a handlebar mount and doesn't have to be carried around in a backpack - a big plus if you're popping out to the shops quickly and don't want to take a backpack along. Easy to un-clip from the mount. Good quality combination dial.

Looks nice, but there is a sticker over the instructions, so currently it is worthless to me. Not sure how to contact seller so I can get a copy of the instructions to set the lock. Poor packaging. After about an hour of research, and videos about older models, I finally figured out there is a half circle that lifts up, ah ha, and when it is up, one can reset the lock, then allow the half circle piece to go back down flat. Nothing says set like in the older models. Now it is useful, will change to a 5 star product, but the packaging needs redone. DO NOT cover the instructions, please.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The little lever to set the combination came off when I tried to flipped it to set the combination when I first got the lock. Lock can now only be set to 00000, which is useless. Lock never used and now in trash. Poor quality product.

This is my third one as the first two fell off in traffic and I wasn’t able to retrieve. With that said in four years no one has cut off, although I only use for quick under one - one and a half hour situations. For context over four or so years used in Atlanta, New Jersey (NYC metro), and Manhattan, I’ve never had anyone break.Solid lock from the perspective of ease of use, some similar ones don’t open easily when on the correct code and require an extra minute of jiggling to open leaving you to second guess the code. This even in extreme cold works seamlessly and the cord itself holds up better doesn’t get extremely stiff in the cold.

Hey Segway....print the directions on the inside of the package so that the directions won't get covered with the shipping label! When you open the lock ..all 00000... Feel around the end of the lock enclosure and there is a little washer like cap that flips....flip it 180 deg.. ..scroll ur new code....flip washer back 180 deg and wallah...ur new code is set. And BTW...the part that affixes to the handlebar with a single screw has two inserts that are super easy to remove as needed for theright size. That part has a red button once affixed that releases the whole lock/cord assembly when pressed...the part on the handlebar is just for securely storing the lock....genius design...5/5.

this item to me is a deterrent device - I just wanted a compact lock to carry around which allowed me to lock up the scooter to deter people from just walking or wheeling it awayI think the cable is pretty decent but would not put it past a professional thief to get through . But now i can scooter my way to a store, restaurant, bar and lock it up so i don't have to worry about it simply being carried off.Yes mine also had the label over the instructions but it was easy to find the procedure online to set my own code in a jiffy. definitely recommend this little gadget

I'm riding the Ninebot MAX. There is not a lot of space on the handlebars for accessories. Previously I had the original Ninebot phone holder. I would not recommend this product for two reasons (1) my iPhone jumped out of the holder and smashed on the concrete (2) on a separate occasion I had a minor fender bender and the phone holder broke. The reason why I share this is because if you can only have one accessory on your handlebars then I would recommend this lock. I like how it is not intrusive and I always have it on me. For tying up your scooter whilst grabbing a sandwich from Subway (or in my case, hitting some tennis balls) this is the perfect lock.

Facilmente "tagliabile" da un ladro
Pessimo - usato una volta ed è stato tagliato per rubare il monopattino (immagino anche con molta facilità essendo successo in una via trafficata di passanti e di giorno)

Great lock. Purchased two of them and the holder fits great on our Segway f40’s.Beware of buying the imitation with a similar name. I got caught out, was more expensive and poor quality.
