I believed there was some gunk inside the drain line or evaporator compartment that was backing up the condensate and therby causing this issue. I used this kit following instructions I found on-line and it now works very well and is super cool. The air freshener spray that it comes with makes the car smell ike new and you can probably get 2 or 3 uses out of that. Well worth the money and work to do it right.

This product works well. An easy DIY if you are a home mechanic. I could see the dirt flush out of the drain tube. It made my car smell like new. I would buy this again.

I like that it was easy to fix the odor problem. I watched a few YouTube videos and found those consistent with the process. At first I thought this as A/C smell fix would be temporary. Took a trip to the coast and my A/C still smells great. So far this product seems to work. Anyone can do this without hiring someone else that'll charge hundreds. I ordering another spray with for my other truck.

2021 Venza with 12,000 miles. A/C smells/stinks really bad (like many other Toyota owners are experiencing due to Toyota's faulty design). This product is easy to use and removed the odor as advertised, the effect just didn't last that long...about a week or so and the A/C is already smelling musty. Toyota has known this is a recurring issue for many years. The reason for the 3 star is the price and the fact that is does not last long.

I followed the directions closely. After applying the first half of the large can per the instructions some but not a lot of liquid came out - was brown. After applying the second half of the can hardly any liquid came out (I’m not sure if this is normal - to have not liquid after second application). I sprayed from the small can per instructions. Once the entire application was finished and up until now (near two weeks later) there is a very bad musty type smell coming from AC when it first starts and is in recirculation - unbearable for me. . Smell goes away a little after I turn recirculating off.
