Really nice roaster. Relatively heavy casting and well polished on the outside, just beautiful. The inside isn't nearly as smooth or polished, so it may take some seasoning and use to be fairly nonstick.The handle on the lid is screwed on. One of the screws was a tad bit too long, which allowed one end of the handle to move slightly. No amount of tightening (the screw was already tight) kept the handle from moving. It was an easy fix to use a belt sander to shorten the screw enough to tighten up and prevent the handle from moving.Packaging was all but nonexistent. I'm really surprised the unit wasn't damaged or didn't fall out of the box. The lid was packed upside down in plastic bag, then set into the roaster with nothing to keep in from moving around. Why the top of the lid wasn't scared up is a mystery. There were only two pieces of brown craft type paper wadded up in the box, which allowed the roaster to slide from one end of the box to the other, as well as from side to side.I had to send this one back as it was a bit too large for my oven. I have already ordered the next smaller 15" size as a replacement.
