Wonder if Benebone is right for your dog? Here’s what you need to know. Since it’s hard, it’s important that your pup has strong teeth. If you’re unsure, check with your vet. Nobody likes an unexpected trip to the dentist. Keep an eye out for wear and tear. Within a month or so, we find that most dogs chew Benebone into submission. Our dog is a total chewy pup! She must get rid of lots of energy that way bc she is grinding on something at least 75% of the time she is awake. This is her favorite chew at the moment. It has lasted WAYYY longer than most of her other chews. It is somewhat heavy and loud when it drops to the ground (so watch your toes) but she loves it!

My dogs love these! There is no odor and the size is perfect for my standard poodle and lab! The quality is great, no crumbs and lasts forever! They roll so it’s a toy too! The money is worth the chew!

The media could not be loaded. My husband was a veterinarian for forty years, and we have seen a lot of teeth cleaning products come and go over the years. Out of all the products we have used to clean and reduce plaque and tartar on our own dog's teeth, this has definitely been the most effective. A friend sent this product to welcome our new puppy in 2020, and it quickly became her favorite thing to chew. She hasn't yet required a professional dental prophylaxis, and she's going on six years of age. Her gums are healthy, her breath is pleasant, and in our experience, her teeth are much cleaner than most dogs her size and age. I replace it monthly, and she gets so excited when she hears me tearing the tag off of it! She spends about 30 minutes every morning and 15 minutes each evening cleaning her gums and teeth. Sometimes, if she's in our lap, we hold one end, but most of the time she does not need any assistance from us. It's a win-win.One more little thing. We call it the "ankle roller" for a reason. Be careful where you walk, or it will make you say a four letter word.......OUCH!!!

My dog absolutely loves this chew. She’s a heavy duty chewer and usually destroys toys within hours. This one has held up amazingly well.It isn’t indestructible though. I was tossing it in the yard and overthrew it and it hit the concrete patio and snapped in half. She’s very content chewing on the remaining half but I wasn’t expecting it to break!

Yes, it has a weird name. Yeah, it’s a funny shape. But my husky/rott/whatever mix actually chews on it and she refuses to chew on ANYTHING. EVER! The vet even said she didn’t need her teeth cleaned because this had helped knock off some plaques chunks! It doesn’t have a strong smell (to me), but it must for the dogs, because I had to buy a second one- my choco lab was starting to steal it from her. So now they each have their own. I haven’t found any rough or sharp pieces, and no bits in the carpet. They can hold onto it well enough due to that funny shape I mentioned, and once they get it down to the middle, I’ll definitely be buying more. Much prefer to nylabone. It seems much safer, stronger, and a better overall design, even though I did go with the smaller than recommended size for my dogs. They weren’t interested in the larger ones. It was too big for them to hold. The puppy size was just right for them. (For reference, husky brat is 50 lb and brown dog is 80 lb).

The beagles LOVED this thing! We only wish that it came in a slightly larger size. This one is bacon, I think, and the dogs would watch each other for an opportunity to steal it! You will need to monitor every few days, to make sure that they aren't shearing off to many pieces, but small chips are (by the documentation) something the dogs can pass.

Honestly it’s not a big hit. Bought the Benebone tripe bone previously and the pups went bananas over it. Thought I’d alternate with this “Ziggler” but it ‘s not loved by them.

My dog absolutely loves these Benebones. I bought multiple so she could have a couple in the house, and one in each vehicle for road trips and errands. My Pitbull is my little Princess, she gets the best and I spoil her in every way I can. She helps me with anxiety and PTSD, she’s basically an unofficial service dog. My VA doctor is currently trying make her a legitimate service dog, because I already take her everywhere dogs are allowed. Colorado is the most euthanatized state for Pitbulls so getting her registered is not easy.I had to buy multiple because she forgets and looses her toys all the time. I have one in each vehicle because she’s an aggressive chewer. She doesn’t chew anything she’s not supposed to but, only because she has so many different toys that she loves. This Benebone is by far her favorite. A couple years ago we went on a long drive and I forgot to grab a couple toys for her entertainment, she ended up chewing a seatbelt in backseat of our Jeep. From that day forward I decided to buy and have dedicated toys that stay in the cars and never leave the cars. The toys she likes the most I buy multiple, one of each for vehicle.My Pitbull is an aggressive chewer, and this Benebone is taking her a long while to chew through. I am thoroughly impressed. Most of the time I have to play with her so she doesn’t lay there and chew through toys in minutes or hours but, with these Benebones I can leave her alone to chew away and she cannot chew it up quickly.Dental hygiene is the most important and biggest priority when it comes to her toys. Most of her toys clean her teeth as she plays. She gets dental compliments on every single trip to the Vet and groomers. With that said, I did notice that her gums bled a tiny bit the first few days. After that her gums have not bled since.Just like me the bacon flavor is her favorite. I put them all in front of her at one time, to see which she’d pick first. She smelled them all and immediately grabbed the bacon one and ran off. She’s definitely my Princess, making me proud.The hardest part was choosing the right size for her. She a small Pitbull, 40-lbs but, her bite and chew is like a 100-lbs dog. So if the toy is too small she’ll right through if she can get her whole jaw around it. If it’s too big and she can’t chew at all she’ll lose interest and never play with it. So I’ve learned with all her toys to buy one size bigger than the manufacturer recommends, and so far it’s worked out perfect.The Benebones have kind of a hard plastic texture feel to them, and the noise it makes when she chews drives my wife nuts. It doesn’t bother me at all, I’m able to ignore any noise I want thanks to the deployments over seas.I highly recommend these Benebones. They’re her favorite toys. She rarely touches her other toys anymore. Unless she forgets where they are, then she goes on the hunt looking and sniffing. Sometimes I’ll help her look. Mostly she eventually finds them while playing with a different toy. I love supporting small family owned businesses like Benebone. I came across their add on YouTube. At the time I was searching home remedies for Ear infections and ear cleaning for Pitbulls. YouTube adds have led me to plenty great purchases for my dog and myself. Benebone had me sold before the add was over. They look like a happy family and their dogs look healthy and happy. I am officially a lifetime customer of Benebone, and my dog feels the same way.

Small is a bit of a mouth-full for my 3yo 8kg Schmoodle. Very good quality.

Power chewer toy that lasts
Finally a chew toy for a power chewer. Had it for two weeks and it’s still in one piece.Update may 7/22I rarely give 5 stars, but the Benebone products have earned them. They are a long lasting power chew toy, in fact they are the only chew toy that my dogs don't instantly destroy. We foster dogs for our local shelter and we haven't had a foster dog that didn't pull a Zaggler out of the toy box first. We always send our fosters off to their forever home with a nice new Zaggler to get them started.Update Dec 13/23Still the best chew toys I have found and my dogs love them. I’ve tried some of the other offerings on Bolo and they find their way to the bottom of toy box, while every Benebone size and shape will be found their favorite spots.
