As a fan of the Anthony’s brand, I decided to try their allulose product. In terms of quality, it met my expectations and worked great. I highly recommend the brand, but I want to caution first-time users: allulose can cause intestinal distress for some people.I’ve never had issues with any sweeteners before, so when I saw a comment about potential side effects, I thought it wouldn’t apply to me. Unfortunately, I was mistaken. After enjoying my slushy, about an hour or two later, I suddenly felt the urge to rush to the bathroom. I spent the rest of the night going back and forth, though I didn’t experience any pain at that moment. However, I woke up at 3 AM feeling extremely uncomfortable, with stomach pain and a sensation of inflammation and cramping throughout my digestive system.Despite trying various remedies, nothing seemed to alleviate the discomfort. After a few hours and drinking plenty of water, I began to feel a bit better. I realized my body needed something more substantial, so I ate plain toast and plain food throughout the day. A full 24 hours later, I can say the food helped, but I still don’t feel 100%. This experience has left me quite worn out.I don’t blame the product or the brand, as allulose is generally considered safe for consumption. However, it’s important to note that your body doesn’t absorb it the same way as other sweeteners, and some individuals may have difficulty with it. Therefore, I’m giving it a five-star rating, but I advise anyone trying allulose for the first time to be cautious about how much they use and to consider the possibility of adverse effects.

I've used a number of brands when buying Allulose. I always come back to this one. I make my own sweetener blend using Anthony's Allulose and NOW brand Organic Monk Fruit Extract Powder in a 2 Tbs allulose : 1/4 tsp monk fruit powder, stirred/mixed well. I THINK this measures and tastes pretty much like real sugar (although because of keto-eating it's been so long since I've had real sugar that my taste buds might be deceiving me!). It's also way cheaper to make my own blend than to buy "pre-mixed" blends.

Product tastes good (meaning there is no bitterness or weird aftertaste). It’s finely ground allulose so it dissolves well. Some say it’s 70% as sweet as sugar, I would say it’s closer to 50-60%. If you’re looking for pure allulose and not something mixed that may provide a more pronounced sweetness, this is a product to purchase.

I am on a keto healthy living food program . Thanks to a Libre 3 plus CGM I found out that unknown to me I was having really low blood sugar early AM , beside higher BS . . This allulose is a blessing for me ! It seems to help keep my blood sugar regulated . It taste good . The texture is way better than the RX I bought first . I'm not bashing RX , I prefere the texture like table sugar . Anthony's is the best texture and taste for me . I'm going to try to caramelize some . Yes it cost . But I believe it's cheap when it can help with preventing complications of diabetes. It's supposed to brown quickly in baked goods so I will see about covering loosely with foil . I started with 1/2 teas and increased to make sure I didn't have problems . I didn't have any ! It's not as sweet as sugar . They say to use 1 and 1/3 cup instead of 1 cup in recipes depending on preference, it's 70% as sweet as sugar. I really like it ! I am fixing to buy the 2 pound so that I don't run out . I use it in cocoa , but nothing in coffee or tea . With everything I do my blood sugar staying perfect over 90% of the time , the allulose really helps a lot ! I don't eat table sugar . I will make bread for dressing with this for Thanksgiving. Maybe with corn flavoring for cornbread ! Blessings to all, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a blessed Christmas anniversary celebration of the Lord Christ Birth !EDITI just received my second 2 LB bag of this . I ran out and had some refried black beans with Mozzarella. It made me fall asleep. I'm exhausted. Now for something with allulose so that I feel better . This allulose really keeps my BS on a straight path . I don't care that it isn't super sweet .it cost more than I like but my health is worth it and I don't take meds ! You can use a little before a meal and it will keep your BS from going wacko , worth every penny . I don't use a lot even . I like this brand . You can put a small amount in baked goods . I put it in Victoria's single serve and bake it instead of using the microwave . Perfectly browned and cooked !

This stuff cleared out my bowels quite unexpectedly the first time I tried it. Do NOT use it as a one-to-one substitute for sugar. I tried using less and it still caused me some upset so I’m a bit scared to try it again unless I will have nowhere to be for at least 6-8 hours.
