When I started taking off the backing tape, the adhesive came with it, so definitely something to watch out for. Though, I was able to stick the adhesive part back to the LED strip and continue installing them without issues. I plugged them into a simple wall outlet timer to work as automatic lights for my stairwell at night, and was excited to find out that they are able to remember the last setting (color/mode/dim) even without power, which made this the perfect solution to use with an outlet timer.

I purchased this lights for my Samsung 82" TV. There is no secret for the installation, just remove the paper from the glued tape and attach to the back of the TV, super simple. The 20' are enough to go around, on the very edge of this TV, without blank space between start and finish of the LEDs. The adhesive is super strong and once attached, the lights will stay there. You can lift them up to reposition them, but they will stay put where you attach them. Light is strong enough for our purpose, with a lot of colors to choose from. There are some features like blinking following noises (music, even people speaking) fading, flashes, etc all managed from the remote control.Once installed and connected to power we noticed that the strip lights would turn on by themselves a couple of times a day. I wrote to the seller asking for a replacement of just the receiver because the strip lights, remote and power unit were working fine; evidently only the unit who orders to turn on and off was faulty. Seller answered me in hours apologizing for the inconvenience and saying that they would send a replacement asap. A couple of days later I received not just the receiver but a new complete set of lights. Great gesture that shows seriousness and commitment with their customers, and which prompted me to write this review. Great purchase experience and great lights... what else do you need to decide purchasing these lights?

Have not actually installed these yet, so I cant say much about adhesion or installation. I bought three sets of 20' led strips with the idea of controlling all three sets using one remote. Meaning, they all change colors at the same time according to one remote. I wanted to place them above the kitchen cabinets, but there are three separate cabinet areas. At first, it did not work. Emailed the seller and here is the procedure.1. Take one set out of the box. Plug in light strip and make sure remote control works properly on the light strip it came with. Be sure to pull the plastic shipping tab out of the battery compartment of the remote. Test all the functions of the remote to make sure it works.2. Next, turn lights to white and power off the strip of lights with remote and unplug the first set you just plugged in.3. Take the next set of lights out of the box and get them ready to plug in. Have the remote from the first set in hand and at the ready.4. Plug in second set (the lights may turn on at first, but doesn't matter if the lights kick on or off at this point when plugged in) and immediately (within 5 seconds) PRESS and HOLD the "Jump 3" button.5. Shortly, the lights will flash a few times maybe even up to 5 or 6 times.6. Test all functions of the 1st remote with second set.7. Turn lights to white and shut the lights off and leave them plugged in.8. Take the first set and plug them in. Both sets should be off when plugged in now. Now press the power button on the remote. Both sets should turn on!I think the "Fade 7" button does the same thing as the "Jump 3" button. Either way, you have one remote to control multiple strips now! Follow the same instructions for each additional set of lights. I suppose you could program one remote for multiple strips at the same time if you had them all plugged into one power strip and turned the power on for strips all at once too. I didn't try it though. The procedure has to be done in the first 5 seconds though. After 5 seconds, it does not do anything with the jump 3 or fade 7 button.

Edit 2 - I received the replacement set of lights from Novostella in less than a week. Their customer service was very helpful. On receiving the new lights, and before peeling the old lights off my ceiling, I decided to try the new transformer. That wasn’t the issue. Then I tried the new LED signal receiver (the part that the lights plug into that receives the remote signal) and that fixed the light strips! Thankfully I didn’t have to peel the old light strips. Hopefully this new LED signal receiver will last longer than the old one did. Each signal receiver is synced with that specific remote, so I also had to use the new remote.Edit - Novostella (dragonforce) is sending me a new set of lights. Hopefully they last longer than 40 days this time. I will update my review again at a later time (or if they fail again). I give novostella credit for their good customer service. They handled the issue in a timely manner.(Original review)I’ve only had these lights for about 40 days and they already stopped working. I hardly used them. I would have them on for maybe a few hours a day and always turned them off when I left the room. They were working fine when I turned them off. I went to turn them back on later in the day and now they don’t work at all. I see the red light flash on the remote but nothing happens with the lights.I Definitely would NOT recommend this brand of lights. I’ve contacted the seller, DragonForce. I’ll update my review with what they say when I hear back from them.
