The depth is perfect to cook Daal, lentils, chickpeas and making curries without leakage. I cook for 1 person and so far it is working great! I highly recommend 2 liter cooker even for 1 person cooking to avoid leakage.

Luckily no human damage was done but my floor and the celling ruined with pulses inside cooking. Never expected from this well known brand.
Good little pressure cooker and fast
Buy this little one if you are looking for a quick rice cooker. It just finishes the job in 15 mins and cooks enough rice for one or two persons. Cleaning and using are very simple. Sturdy build.

Hawkins has always been the best in Pressure coockers
Hawkins is undoubtedly the leader in pressure cooker makers in India. They make the best quality pressure cookers and this model is no exception. During the lockdown, I had to buy Prestige pressure cooker as that was the only option available at that time in the nearby shop and that turned out to be the worst purchase I ever had, and in just two years that malfunctioned. We are using Hawkins in our family for several years and never had any complaints. Hawkins is long lasting.
