IT WORKED!Year before the pandemic, we've been dealing with a slow drain in our old home.We dont have plumber money so we've been putting up with the drain and using a plunger and/or plumr.This year its gotten so bad. Plumr was not working. Plunging stopped working eons ago (I shouldnt be surprised, ignoring small issues turns to big ones)So I've been trying so many brands and so many of their different items.Drano, Green Gobbler, other Plumr types of drain clog liquid. They all werent cutting it.Then in comes CLR. Directions say to use 2oz everyday overnight or when not in use for 7 days.Unfortunately I kept forgetting since tub always had water slowly draining in it or was being used. So i was only able to use it on weekends this month.This week though, the tub completely stopped draining. These past 3 days I've been forgoing a shower and doing the best I could. I was dying for a shower today.About 1/5 of the CLR was all I had, so I poured all of it in the clogged tub and prayed.It did work a lil, after an hour. Just in time for fam member to get ready for work. But drain was still slow.I come back to check for my turn after fam left for work and the drain was back to not draining at all.I later check a second time and see tub is still filled at same level.I broke.Insert frustration, crying inbetween trying to snake and plunger the drain for over an hour.Nothing, still the same amount of water. So I stop to go calm down for another hour and think of game plan to scoop out the water.As I'm about to go get a scoop, I hear a slow light gurgle increase to the most wonderful sound I havent heard in years. THE FAST GLUG GLUG OF DRAINING WATER IN THE BATHROOM TUB.I cried again watching the water quickly drain. Then turned on the faucet at full blast to rinse out the CLR and watched gloriously as the water disappered as quickly as it came out of the faucet.BUY THIS MIRACLE LIQUID. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. AND DONT PROLONG THE DIRECTIONS LIKE I DID.Thank you CLR. I will buy more of this as preventative maintance now for my tub and all other drains in my home.

I read some of the other reviews and I don't think people understand what this stuff does. It is NOT a drain cleaner per se, no 15 minutes and all clear. It breaks down organic material -- hair, soap, toothpaste over a period of a few days. I poured it in at bedtime since it needs to sit untouched for about 8 hours. It took about 4 days, but it was all clear and my bathroom sink drains like a charm. So remember, it's not a 15 minute wonder like Drano or anything, it takes time. I use it periodically for a couple of days to keep the drain clear and put a mesh strainer over the drain so the hair doesn't clog it up in the first place!

WHAT WAS THIS?????? I’VE BEEN USING THIS FOR YEARS! This bottle of whatever it was, is NOT CLR! CLR is clear, not neon blue! And it did not work at all! Going to the grocery store tomorrow to buy CLR! This was my former review, FORMER: (This is one of those products that has applications all over the house! Stained toilets? This! Lime build-up on plumbing fixtures? Use this! Clogged drains? Use this! One caveat: I have found that the directions call for you to dilute the product. We have well water and it stains the toilet. Our plumber advised “Pour a whole bunch in and let it sit overnight.” Problem solved. My Dad did it, too on 50 year old toilets…city water…problem solved…Ask you plumber.

Works a little too well I think. A week after using it and had to call someone to clear out the sewer line to the street. I suppose it was inevitable though.

I put the whole bottle down my laundry overflow pipe, then left it over night then flushed it with hot water and then waited a day and went and got zaps drain opener then I used two bottles of zeps, so I’d say it would take days of drain unclogged to unclog the laundry overflow pipe, and I also put some toilet bowl cleaner in all my toilets. So I have no clue what helped but it worked after 5 days of drain treatment between CLR and ZePs

After 20 years, I had my septic tank pumped and the guy was surprised that there was no solid fat buildup at the pipe opening into the tank. This stuff added to all of my drains works.Definitely prevents slow drainage from sinks and tubs. I would never use it in the toilet as it might dissolve the toilet wax seal, and then leakage from under the toilet would occur.

I've used this product for quite some time and I find that it does exactly what they tell you it's supposed to do as long as you follow directions you will get excellent results if you don't follow directions then I guess you won't get the desired results that you are expecting which then again that now becomes your fault for not following directions but I find that this is a great product and it's reasonably priced and I will continue to buy it because I've been buying it now for quite some time possibly even years now at this point I use it to clean my cups to get the tea stains out I use it to clean my pot that I heat up my water because of the calcium buildup I've used it in my humidifier that is a small room humidifier to get rid of all the calcium buildup because of the hard water situation causes all that calcium buildup inside it's really a great product and I believe that if you just give it a try and you follow the directions you will see that it works like it says it's supposed to work I have a lot of faith in this product and I will keep buying it
