Switch from keuregs to this because it was more cost effective. It's just me drinking coffee, so the size is perfect, especially with limited counter space. Have had this for almost 3 months and so far it still works great as the day i got it. I haven't testing the timer option.I've seen people complain about the built in filter being hard to clean. I don't know, it takes less that 1 minute to clean. I dump it in the trash and wash out the leftover grounds in the sink. Simple as can be.Perfect for single casual coffee drinkers or even for dorms if you got a kiddo going off to college.

Really a great coffee maker. It makes a great cup of coffee. Compact, easy to fill, pot does not drip when pouring, easy to set clock and auto. Bought a Krup 2 years ago. It smelled like it was burning for days when I used it. This one has no smell. Nothing negative to say!!!

I liked this little pot that I bought two years ago and used it about for one year. It died recently which could be due to being transported twice to different locations, placed in storage (it felt neglected?) or lousy manufacturing; I can't really determine. The programmable settings were my requirement as I want to come downstairs to a hot pot of coffee ready to go at 5am. I also required an autoshut off which this had. Easy to clean, but I never used the basket (but I still appreciate they included it). Coffee was fine, temp was very good, size is compact. Hopefully this one will last longer.

I got rid of my Mr. coffee 5 cup junk it did not make good or hot coffee. I brought this Capressso 5 cup programable coffee maker and it is great it makes good and hot coffee and the warming plate keeps it hot. I like the inside cup measure system better, less chance that the housing might leak with a visible window. Best coffee maker I have had yet.

I just realized how old this thing is and it still works just as well as the day I bought it, 6 years ago. I use it everyday. Sometimes twice. I always use paper filters with the filter basket and clean it regularly with citric acid.

I bought this Capresso coffee maker after I had previously purchased the "Gevi 4-Cup Coffee Maker with Auto-Shut Off". The Gevi was nothing but trouble. The Gevi's carafe wasn't tall enough to fully engage the coffee filter stopper, so the coffee wouldn't come out fast enough. The coffee would overflow the basket. The Gevi's carafe lip cracked after a few uses. Gevi's customer service sounded like they were working from their couch while they watched TV, and they wanted me to film a video of all of the problems with their product in order to get it fixed. This Capresso unit has been problem free so far, and feels better made as well. I have previous experience with a Capresso coffee bean grinder, and it has been excellent as well. Capresso customer service was excellent when I needed them a few years ago.EDIT: Changed my rating from 5 star to 1 star. Today, after just over 1 month of light use, the coffee maker will not brew. Very disappointing, as I sort of liked this machine. I am going to try and call Capresso Customer Service, and I will update my review depending on their response.EDIT 2: I called Capresso on a Tuesday morning, I was on hold for about 20 minutes and then the system told me to leave a message and hung up. The next day I tried again a little later in the day and after about 10 minutes I got an agent. They told me I could send the unit back to them, and they would fix or replace it, but I had to pay for shipping. I am sure shipping would be rather expensive for a person like me without a corporate account, and I would be without a coffee maker until they figured it out, and wait for shipping 2 ways. Not very good customer service, as I only had the unit about 6 weeks.I decided to start an Bolo return, since it was within the extended holiday return period. Bolo will send me a new one, and I need to drop off this broken unit to a Staples store to insure I don’t get charged.Review was initially 5 stars, dropped it to 1 star when it stopped working. It stays at 1 star unless the replacement unit lasts a few years…

Glass carafe better than metal ones. Easier to clean & I think the coffee tastes better. It serves five cups or two big mugs. Good price & keeps coffee hot after first pour.

Excellent little coffee maker!
I owned this very same coffee machine for 6 years and it was starting to get tired. I felt it's days were numbered so I started shopping around for a replacement. I considered other brands/coffee makers and after reading reviews I decided to stick with what I know and purchase the same coffee maker again. ThisCapresso is perfect for me! I live alone and drink one very large cup of coffee each morning. The coffee is good and hot. I am looking forward to another 6+ years with my new coffee maker.
