A bit stinky (salmon flavored), but not too bad -- and the pets - even finicky ones -- chow down on these like they are going out of style! A bit pricey, but the tub lasts a long time and worth it for a healthy, easy to feed, treat.UPDATE: Contrary to what others are saying, the tub is 3/4 full (not 1/3) and the pieces are quarter sized (see photos), with some being smaller (broken bits) with only a bit of dust in the tub that is great to use as a meal topper.

I don’t agree with a lot of the complaints I read about these. Yeah, there are some small pieces, but so what? They can’t just have all big pieces. It’s good ingredients. I just give a small handful each time. The bucket lasts quite a while. I don’t think it smells weird like some people said, but I eat a lot of fish and salmon myself, so maybe I’m used to it.Sockeye salmon is one of the few non-farm raised fish with high omega-3 content. This is one of the healthiest treats you can give your dog.

My dg will listen to all of his commands as soon as he sees or most likely smells these treats. I feel good to give him all natural and healthy treats. My trainer uses this brand as well. She had the beef but I’m using the Salmon ever since his diet is Pet Plate beef and venison. I put a few pieces in a zip lock bag when going on walks. Other dogs try to get into my pockets 😄. I haven’t met a dog yet that doesn’t want these. They do have a very strong smell but it’s salmon so it makes sense. Great product!

Great product, well liked by the pets.BUT well over half of the container was simply tiny broken to powder!! I go ahead and sprinkle over the food. But it is much more difficult to ascertain the amount you are giving your pet when the product has been crumbled to powder!!!!!BUT these were supposed to be treats not powder. Not sure if these were damage done in shipping or handling.It was more of a bother to return than I wished to undertake. Where I have to go to return things to Bolo is not a friendly business, so I only return when it is of absolute essential need!Hopefully they will resolve the severe crumbling to powder issue soon. It is a well received product by the pets!I was unable to find a phone number to contact customer service. Sure wish I could have spoken to them before I had to leave a bad review. I have now seen others also had powdered product delivered to them. I have bought Stewart Freeze dried meat treats for over 35 years. I hate to say I doubt I will bother to buy any in the future unless Stewart contacts me and we have a conversation. Stewart give me an email-OK!

So I love to give my dog these freeze dried salmon treats and he absolutely loves them! Plus they’re not filled with a ton of terrible ingredients and preservatives that could hurt my pet in the long run. The only thing is the smell is absolutely horrible but that’s what you get when you buy freeze dried salmon for dogs but the smellier the better for my pup.

The salmon is great, but the container now is huge and only filled halfway. I weighed the contents and it was correct with the amount stated on the front. However, Stewart folks, PLEASE make your containers smaller and create less waste!!! Even the size before this new wide one was too large. Thank you!

I originally bought a bag of Purebites salmon since it was on sale for $2.79 for 0.92oz. My two cats were literally on their feet begging for this treat and it instantly became their most favorite above any other type of treat. When the bag ran out, I definitely wanted to get them more freeze-dried salmon, but the Purebites regular price of ~$3.50 for less than an ounce was certainly irksome to me, so I went hunting for other options.After digging through dog treat alternatives, I came across this Stewart Pro-Treat which provides at less than $2 an ounce. I was a bit wary after reading other people's reviews, but after receiving the actual product, I feel like this product is WELL worth the value. The smell is certainly much stronger and a bit less pleasant than Purebites (and I am a bit of a salmon addict myself), but my cats love it all the same.I feed each of my two cats about 3 medium size pieces a day if they've behaved during my long working day out (and I do wonder if they realize this and it helps motivate them lol), and I can see this bucket lasting for a great long time. I was also mildly concerned the 9.5 ounce weight would include the bucket as part of the weight, but I weighed what I got on my mailing scale, and it came out to be over 11 ounces so I'd say the bucket is not taking up the weight, great! I'm gradually setting aside pieces with excess amounts of tough skin so I can cut them up with kitchen scissors, soak them in water, and serve them to the cats for easier eating. I hope this brand keeps up this level of quality, and I will be back for more :)
