I wanted a cheap tarp for shade at the beach that will fit in my backpack with everything else. Only done test ups so far in my yard but I'm happy with the shade you get from this.

Bought this as a rainfly for over my hammock while camping and it did not disappoint. The tarp has a larger footprint than most rainfly's which was exceptionally helpful during heavy rain. It was so good I bought another one as a tarp over the picnic table.

I've had this tarp for 9 months and have used it primarily for tarp camping on about 15 trips. For the price I can recommend this tarp.Pros: It is light weight, has plenty of tie outs, the square shape is ideal for different shelter configurations. The water proofing has held up to heavy rain in western WA, occasional wind, and hail. As long as you aren't letting water collect in a pool on the tarp, it wont leak. Even then it would take hours of saturation before water penetrates the fabric. It packs up nicely in the carry bad and dries out fairly quick. Haven't encountered any rips or damage to the "oxford fabric".Cons: The included rope was not suitable for my situation so I replaced it with 550 paracord. The grommets have become damaged when adding tension to the tarp using 2 half hitch knots. 1 grommet was completely destroyed (see picture), another is very close to being in the same condition. I can only imagine a truckers hitch would do even more damage. The stakes are cheap and bend easy; as other have mentioned: upgrade them. The reinforced stitch has held, but is showing signs of weakness.I will likely buy a replacement for the upcoming winter, but I am on the fence about trying a different brand for a better comparison. If the grommets had held longer, this would be a 5 out of 5. Maybe I should have attached my paracord to the fabric loop just beyond the grommet.

This has been amazing every time I use it! Very durable materials and neat organized bag. Great for the price and long term use. Would reccomend to any regular campers looking to keep their things or themselves dry!

There's no way to tell how this will hold up over the years but it appears well"made. The tie out points are reinforced fairly well. I like that there are a number of tie out points in the sides and center points. The colors are darker than they appear in the photos here. The underside is silvery. Not Mylar. I've never seen this sort of fabric. I have not had it in the rain yet. I will post again with an update after some rain experience. Overall it's a good value when you look at what the more reputable brands like Kelty and so forth are pricing tarps at. It's not the lightest material out there, for sure, but it seems light enough for anything but ultralight backpacking. The stakes are simple aluminum but they are rugged... not thin little skewers. I was also surprised that the included guy lines are actually good quality. I was planning on throwing those away but they will suffice nicely.UPDATE: Very waterproof. Water beads up on top surface....no dampness below. Just wish that a 12 foot width was available.UPDATE AUG 2010:. Love these tarps have four now...one has been up since January 2022 in snow climate two have been up all summer. Will they last five years like this? Probably not. Will they last ten years if you go on a few trips a year? For sure. The 10x13 also has tie-out points on two sides. In other words, if you hang the tarp on the ridge, and look at it from above, there's a tie-out point on the left side of the ridge and on the right side. Seams are well-sealed and do not leak.For $40, it's a fantastic value. I replace the stakes with extruded aluminum ones.... stronger. But the guy lines they give you are really good. I do wish they had a 12x12 but that means using fabric that's 6' wide....and that's not as inexpensive as using 5' goods.

This tarp is not too bad for the price. But be aware, it does not have all the tie out points that the pictures advertise. I purchased the 3x3 and it only has tie outs on the four corners and the center points. No ridgeline tie outs or 1/4 point tie outs on the side. Still not bad for less than $30 but there are probably better optionsUPDATE: after speaking with the company, it appears the 3x3 is advertised to only come with 8 tie out points, however, it would be better if it had 18 like the other tarps. Still good value for the money

Great product
Just used these on my recent camping trip and they’re awesome. Really easy to setup as long as you know how to tie knots. The waterproofing worked as intended even when it rained pretty hard. Comes in a small carrying case which is convenient for camping.

Wir haben die Regenschutz plane für ein älteres Zelt gekauft, dass nicht mehr ganz wasserdicht ist.Mit der Plane, ist es im Zelt auch nach zwei mal Platzregen trocken geblieben.Die Plane ist sehr leicht und macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck, sie lässt sich auch von Kindern nach dem Gebrauch wieder gut in dem mitgelieferten Transportsäcken verstauen.
