The working principle of the heating wire :
The heating wire within the shoe dryer operates by converting electrical energy into heat energy through resistance, resulting in the generation of hot air for drying purposes.

Warming Timer settings for dried shoes: Approximately 20 minutes

Raise/extend dryer arms until they lock into place that you can see the little knob button [button to shrink Rack] .
Please adjust your dryer with [button to shrink dryer]
90° stretching Rack: for gloves and socks
75° stretching Rack: for leather shoes&Gym shoes
45° stretching Rack: for boots
Temperature Guidelines:
At an indoor temperature of approximately 20 degrees Celsius, the hot air temperature at the shoe dryer outlet ranges from 40 to 60 degrees Celsius.
When the indoor temperature is ... 10 degrees Celsius, ... the outlet ranges from 30 to 40 degrees Celsius.
... 0 degrees Celsius, ... the outlet ranges from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius.
... minus 5 degrees Celsius, ... outlet ranges from 10 to 20degrees Celsius, with minimal heat air output.
... minus 10 degrees Celsius or below, ...outlet ranges from 0 to 10 degrees Celsius, resulting in no hot air output.
So please use the dryer better at an indoor temperature of approximately 20 degrees Celsius.

We live in the South. This is great for our kid's stinky baseball cleats. Play in the rain once = rotten cleats! Put shoes on this dryer every time they're moist and you can fight the funk! This dryer folds down and travels well too. Fan and heat are on a timer so it won't blow all night! Also warm/dry your boots too! The arms on this thing are extendable fitting an array of shoe sizes. Nice product! Paid for itself once by preventing buying new shoes.

I got one of these and stuck my winter gloves on to see how it worked. Within 5 minutes, there was a clicking noise and the fan/heat turned off (timer still active). I took the gloves off and after several minutes, it clicked back on. And then back off a few minutes later, even with nothing on the drying rods, it turned off again. I extended the arms, which exposes more exit holes for the air. And it still clicked off after only a few minutes.Almost certainly an overtemperature protection circuit tripping.So I returned it as defective and got a replacement. This time I let it warm up to room temperature for a few hours before turning it on, and let it run for several minutes with nothing on it, to get rid of the "new heater smell". With the arms fully extended and machine already running, I put my gloves on the vents. There's an audible change to the fan noise as the gloves go on. Again, after a few minutes, it clicked off with a long time left on the timer. So I adjusted the gloves and waited for it to run again. Same thing. Auto-off after a few minutes. The third try, I set the gloves on as delicately as possible, making sure there was lots of room for air to escape. This time it stayed going.I have yet to decide if it stays or goes back for a refund. This thing had great reviews and if I can't trust that, what other similar product can I trust? I think they should have designed this thing to turn off the heat when necessary and leave the fan running.

We love this boot and glove dryer. Perfect size for traveling to ski and dry our gear at the end of each day. We bought a second one since it worked so well. Use it daily in winter to dry our daughter’s gloves after school.

Works well and collapses for easy storage
This is a great addition for winter. Sweaty and wet boots/shoes go dry after 20 to 40 minutes. This is also great to avoid any bacteria or fungus. It can also be nice to give a refresh just before going out, having nicely warm shoes.It is a bit noisy.
My best purchase this year
25 mins seems the optimal time to dry my daughters football boots that she uses most days. Probably my best purchase this year. No more horrible boot smell 🙌
Great litte boot dryer for the price
This is the perfect size. Hides under the end table when not in use. Those are two size 13 insulated boots that are pretty heavy. You have to place them on it in opposite directions or it falls over. Makes about as much noise as a space heater.It can double as a 2 hr (on a timer) space heater. This isn't an advertised feature but I was clever enough to figure it out;)
