Available in the 1-Gallon Gravity System (SP160) comes with one bag and a MINI. The Sawyer dual-threaded MINI water filter weighs just 2 ounces, fits in the palm of your hand, and is rated to 0.1 micron absolute filtration — removing 99.99999% of all bacteria, such as Salmonella, Cholera, Leptospirosis, and E.coli, and removing 99.9999% of all protozoa (such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium). The MINI also filters out 100% of microplastics (independent testing laboratory Hydration, LLC.; microbiological report S05-03). With threads on both sides, you can screw the push pull cap onto the MINI for easy on/off functionality while filtering. Convenient and easily packable, this single- and dual-bag gravity system doesn’t require any pumping and is perfect for camping, hunting, fishing, scouting, disaster relief, and emergency preparedness kits, as well as on adventure travel excursions where potable tap and bottled water are not easily carried or safe to drink. The 1-gallon bladders feature a wide mouth cap that allows for fast and easy filling, as well as a convenient carry handle. To set up a gravity system, first fill the reservoir with water from any source (a lake, stream, pond, glacier, kitchen faucet, etc.). Gravity Filtering System
Open the wide mouth cap and fill the bag with water from any source — lake, stream, faucet, etc. — and connect the included tube between the bladder and the Dual-Threaded MINI.
After filling, hang the reservoir with the MINI below it from a tree, the back of your pack, or simply hold it up with your hand. Water will flow through the MINI to produce fresh, clean water for drinking and cooking.
Filtered Water Anywhere
Fitting in the palm of your hand, the Dual-Threaded MINI gives you several ways to access clean water. With threads on both sides, you can attach the flip top cap onto the MINI for easy on/off functionality while filtering to control water flow.
The filter can also be attached onto most disposable water or soda bottles, or attach it inline to tubing between a hydration pack and bite valve.
Filter Again and Again
The Dual-Threaded MINI can be cleaned and reused almost indefinitely with no expensive cartridges to replace… ever.
When water flow begins to diminish, simply perform a backwash to restore up to 98% of the filter’s flow rate and enjoy fresh, clean water wherever you roam.

0.1 Absolute Micron Filtering
Each Sawyer water filter features 0.1 micron absolute filtration, meaning there is no pore size larger than 0.1 micron in size.
This makes it nearly impossible for microplastics, harmful bacteria, protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi (which cause Cholera and Typhoid) to pass through.
Fiber Protection
Sawyer's hollow fiber membranes are fully encased and sealed to keep them protected. When fibers are not enclosed, physical damage of exposed fibers could allow harmful pathogens to pass through.
Tested 3 Times
Every Sawyer filter is performance tested three separate times during the manufacturing process for your protection.
Testing occurs after the fiber element construction and twice after casing assembly to ensure no harmful pathogens leak through the sealed case or internal O-rings.
