These are super thin in material. Snagged a little on one the first wear. Overall get the job done.

I bought these to wear with long pants and Toms because they get so stinky from going sockless. These are pantyhose material with extra (cotton?) stitching in the sole. I do believe this adds durability and absorption, but it's not any extra cushion. It still feels like pantyhose on the bottom, not like a sock. I wear size 10 women's and these are a little small on me. The stitching comes just to the back of my heel when I pull them all the way up. They still work fine and this brings me to the most important point. THEY STAY UP. I had basically no confidence that I would find something that works as well as these. I have never had them slip down. Now, this may also have something to do with the fact that I have larger than average ankles and these are tight on my ankles. This is my only complaint. I notice the tightness after wearing all day, and it leaves a red mark around my ankle for a little while after. Usually this is no big deal, but it's something to consider if you were changing into shorts or a dress immediately after wearing. They could be a little bit taller in the ankle, sometimes I think the top shows when I sit with legs crossed, but don't really care that much. So far they've held up well to machine wash and dry. I will probably get more when these wear out, but I may shop around for a taller/looser ankle.

OMG! These are the absolutely best things I have ever purchased for long distance hiking. I used to get horrible blisters when I only wore one pair of socks but I started reading about guys in the military that wore nylons under their socks to prevent this and figured I'd give it try. I did not want to wear full on pantyhose in the Florida heat so I bought these beautiful little ankle high tights and let me tell you those military guys were not kidding it works!! What an wonderful feeling to be able to walks for miles and miles without getting any blisters. I will NEVER hike in one pair of socks again.

These were awesome. I raves about them at work and loved them so much. I was wearing a pair every single day, and the girls at work didn’t even know until I pointed it out and told them about these little nylon socks. I put them into the washer machine and now, every single pair I put on my feet tears. They rip as soon as I go put them on. It’s like washing them has worn down the nylon to a paper thin consistency and they just tear with any little touch or tug. They weren’t like this in the beginning. I would put them on and when they slipped down to my ankles I’d have to pull them up and they wouldn’t tear or anything. Now, I can’t even put them on without them completely tearing. It’s really a travesty because I loved these so much and even told my coworkers to buy them. I guess it’s worth the money if you don’t mind paying that price for a one time use. Otherwise, I wouldn’t buy again. I’ll try and find a more sturdy pair next time, but these aren’t worth it for me to only be able to wear once.

In the past I have worn mine a few times and just chucked them but these go in the washing machine no bother. the upper section has a lovely soft feel to it and they fit beautifully. very happy
