Separate the electrical by removing one screw and releasing the clips, then install it first to the side of the opening in the ceiling, then insert the fan box. The paper insert is useless.

Quiet as a mouse!

There is some seconds lag between the switch is turned on and the perceived start of the blades rotation, the baldes start actually rotating about 2 seconds after the switch turns is turned on, from there the speed ramps up to the selected speed in about 4 seconds. By the time I am actually ready to start doing whatever “number” I came into the washroom for the fan is at full speed.

Exactly what I needed

Does a great job for smaller bathroom

I renovated my basement and added a bathroom. 8 ft by 8 ft with shower. I really wanted some serious cfm to keep the moisture down but it also needed to be quiet. This fan has a slow start function where it ramps up to full speed over maybe 30-60 seconds so it comes on very quiet. It also stays quite quiet at full speed.
