I get several compliments every day I wear these! Unlike my other docs these take less than a day to break in. They are so comfy and go with so many outfits. I LITERALLY CAN RUN AFTER TODDLERS IN THESE! The only thing I have noticed is they get light little pale scuffs easily (though I am not gentle on my shoes). Amazing traction! I typically am I 9 1/2 and I got a size 9; fits well! Bright reddish brown color. Very stable on the ankles but takes some time to put on.

First of all, I originally bought these boots for a trip to Europe, I wanted something versatile easy to add layers to warm up, mix and match, etc. Well I order them ahead of time, put them away and tried not to use them before my trip, oh well my trip stil hasn't come and I already wore them like five times, they are just INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL I couldn't resist. I wish I had a picture of one of the outfits I wore with them but I've been very busy. I'm probably going to add some pictures once I take pictures. I love that you can literally throw anything on you with this boots and you automatically look stylish and sophisticated. I also love the fact that is not the typical pair that everyone buys and the heel is a little bit higher than the regular ones but that is part of what makes these ones even better. I also size down, I usually buy 9 for flats and more thin shoes, for boots and sports shoes I wear a 8.5 and for this ones I decided to do 8 and it fits perfect with thick socks, it is a tiny bit loose if I wear regular socks but nothing to the point is uncomfortable. They are comfy, a little heavy but exactly what us expected from a pair of Docs and the quality of the product is great! Do not mind the bad reviews, they are in great shape.

I love these. I am a true size 6. Normally with boots I like to get a half size bigger however only whole sizes were available. I took my chances getting a 6. They fit great. No complaints. Made well. Beautiful boot. Comfortable. I wore them to NOLA for the Super Bowl weekend… lots of walking. No complaints.

I am a true size 8 1/2. I have always sized down, not up with boots, regardless of the brand.These are no exception. A size 8 (8 US/6UK) in these gives me plenty of room for two pairs of socks, or one thick pair if that's what's preferred (with boots I always prefer one long thin pair and a short regular pair over those. I've found that it not only provides the most comfort, but also prevents blisters vs wearing one thick pair).These shoes are heavier than any other boots I've ever owned. I haven't worn them for a long amount of time yet, so I don't know how that will contribute to fatigue.I can see the issue people are having with the laces and imagine if they're not tightened correctly that they will probably break easily. I haven't run into that as I tighten by each eyelet rather than just pull at the top. However, they are thin, so I don't imagine they will hold up to that forever.These do not feel like heels, rather they just feel like any old pair of docs, only hey, you're a little taller! Nice.They are beautiful. I looked them over for construction issues and cannot find any.If you're on the fence, get them.***Update 9/12/19***I wore these every night in NYC for a week, including a show that required me to stand on concrete for three hours. Here's my take aways from that:1) A nanny crashed into my foot one night with a stroller. It was far worse for her than me, lol. In fact, I didn't feel it at all. She however was thrown back when the stroller hit the boot. One point for the Leonas.2) One night it was wet and rainy, I was the only one not concerned about slipping. One point for the Leonas.3) Due to the heel height, I had zero issues seeing over the heads of dudes at the show I went to. Leona wins this round too.4) Despite the weight of the boots, after walking around in them for one night, I easily adjusted to them, and it was not a factor the remaining time.5) I only had a minor issue with breaking in the toe area of the right boot. All other areas of the boots were fine/no other break-in issues and my feet are completely flat. Note: I do wear two pairs of socks with these types of boots (refer to my original review).6) Some type of insole is definitely needed if you're going to walk around in these and/or stand for a long period of time. I use Spenco, but that's my preference since my feet are flat.I never thought I'd prefer any boots over my red docs, but hello Leona! These are definitely my new fave.***Update 12/31/22***It's years later and these Docs are still going strong. To my surprise, I haven't needed to replace the shoe strings. They look as amazing as the day I received them. I highly recommend these!

I got this on sale. Great price. They're a little big without thick socks as they don't make boots in half sizes. But I rather loose fit than tight on my toes, just personal preference. They are also slightly tough to get on quickly. If you have back issues or dexterity issues, this might be a hindrance. You'll probably have to sit down to put on/take off.I've been told Doc Martens aren't as durable or long-lasting as before. But mine are holding up pretty well. Granted, I don't wear them all the time. But I did all winter. To take care of them, I clean and oil them inbetween seasons.

Most reviewers say these run super big, I don’t think that’s the case. I’m always between sizes, either 5, 5.5 or 6 US. I own the 1460s in 5 US and the Sinclairs in 6 US. I find the 1460s very uncomfortable and too small but the Sinclairs need thick socks or inserts to fit as they run big on me.I'd say that you can size down for an exact fit if you don’t mind breaking them in and you’re not planning on wearing thick socks. Go with your regular size if you like wearing thick socks.The Leonas are super comfy compared to my Sinclairs too as these are not as heavy but still add height and a feminine look. The leather is soft, so I don’t think it’ll be a super long break-in process.I am rating these 4 stars because the laces are cheap and won’t last too long. I read some reviews saying that this is because the eyelets are small but nah, ticker laces can be used. Make sure you get yourself at least two pairs of laces when ordering the Leonas because y'all have to do that anyways.On another note, I have Egyptian feet, I feel like that’s why I’m always between sizes, I think people with Greek or Roman feet can get away with a size smaller.

I have eight other pair of Dr Martensl shoes and they're all true to size. I honestly think that these are almost one size too big. It doesn't prevent me from wearing them. But my toes have ample room. I would buy these again, but I would size down next time
