Lift pump, injector pump the entire fuel system. The low sulfur diesel that we all use has virtuality no lubricating properties. This stuff will lub em and protect. Stablizes fuel and has other performance benefits as well.

I have used it for 30 years on three different diesel vehicles with no injection system problems. Volkswagen recommends it as THE diesel additive to use. Stanadyne is a manufacturer of diesel injection pumps, which gives them more credibility than a company that produces nothing but additives. This was the best price per ounce I could find.

I'm using the Stanadyne Performance for more than 4 years now. I always get my assessment from my dealer mechanical service. They've found so far my engine running great, well maintained and in excellent condition. I got the Stanadyne recommendation from Ford. And I'm happy to have a seven year old car running with great satisfaction.In my country, diesel fuel contains high sulfur dioxide level and often water. Stanadyne Performance takes care of both and makes me feel happy at the same time.

I have nearly 200,000 miles on my Silverado 2500 Duramax. I've had zero issues with injectors. I change the fuel filter regularly and put Stanadyne in the tank with every fill. I'm still getting good mileage towing a 12,000 pound trailer. When not towing I get over 20 mpg. In a seven thousand pound 4 WD that's remarkable. I believe Stanadyne has a lot to do with the mileage. I got the tip to use Stanadyne from a couple of professional truckers who swear by the stuff. I'm a believer.

Who knows. Stanadyne is a well recommended product that adds lubricocity to the fuel. As the sulphur is removed for ecological reasons, the fuel lubricates the injector pump less. Caterpillar says that none is needed, same with Cummins. I use it, because I am anal about my engine. I also use vitimin supplements.
