Purchased 2 of these for a class about a few agos and have been using them without the wheels coming off. Usually, the wheels come off over time but these are sturdy. I recommend.

I teach in a small private school and this worked great to set on a table instead of having to bring in a separate podium. Perfect height for me and very sturdy construction. All the other teachers started using it too.

~Happy teacher.Small podiums no longer work when you are handling papers, books, and possibly a laptop or iPad. Also, mobility is important in my classroom. Classroom management skills like moving closer to behavioral issues and standing in different locations to access smartboards, TVs, and whiteboards requires constant motion.I was at a loss until I found this lectern. The shelf is just the right size to store teacher's manuals or copies of worksheets. The top has a lip that holds my laptop and books in place.It was easy to assemble. In fact, it was one of the easiest products in a box that I have ever assembled.There are brakes on two of the wheels. My only complaint is that I continue kicking one of the brakes then trying to move the lectern, which sends me into a small spin. The students enjoy it, but I find it aggravating. I think, however, the problem is with my big feet rather than the product.I would definitely buy again and have recommended it to colleagues.

It's solidly made and eassy to assemble and very stable so, for your lecture notes it will do nicely. Fairly heavy so not so easily portable. As a rest for model painting, it has eased some of the pressujre on my back.
