They are effective and taste good. I recommend them to serious endurance athletes.

These little waffles taste great and give you a pretty nice mid-run/bike boost. Only downside is they crumble during long workouts and you’re left picking out crumbs. (The crumbs that didn’t land in the dirt/mud/dirty water.

I've used Gu gel packs for years as a cyclist - and they do their thing. Thing is with the gel - you sacrifice enjoyment for super energy and fast pick up. We needed something for a big time hiking trip out west - something more enjoyable - less utilitarian - but still with quick-ish energy, so I took a chance on these and could not be more satisfied. Over a six hour hike in Yosemite I ate MANY of these. The single foil pack means you can eat one at a time. The small size is imminently packable (purse, backpack, messenger back etc...). The texture has a slight "crunch" to it - really, more like a slight CRISP - which is really pleasant. Despite the purpose driven aspect to them - quick calories when you need 'em - THESE ARE TASTY. No nasty overly-sweet taste - I'd eat these during a normal business day between meetings just to keep energy up. I would re-buy these without hesitation and really enjoy them at the same time. Get 'em - you'll enjoy 'em. OH YEAH - and they'll give you the quick replacement energy you need.

I eat these for breakfast before I go for a run and is the perfect amount of calories and energy, not too heavy. They are really tasty, easily digestible and you don’t have to wait too long after eating to go out for your exercise. There’s some crumble but I have never had one opened and totally broken so that’s great. Highly recommend!

I’ve ordered these twice and really like them for a long run or pre run fuel. However, in both boxes I’ve gotten a mixed selection of some waffles are appropriately chewy, others are hard or dried out and break like a cracker, completely inedible. I’ve had to throw those away. Would love if they were consistently chewy!

I take this food on my 50+ bike rides and enjoy the texture and flavour. There are not many energy bars that I will eat as I do not like chocolate or coffee flavours or anything with caffeine. I do not have a sweet tooth. However I would have thought the price would reduce when buying a box.
Poor Packaging / Watch for Expiry Date !

Very weak and pour packaging with no barrier. Box was in an envelope with the top few waffles broken/ squished. They also expire in April 2025.. in just 2 months.. I better eat quick I guess?
