After a visit from my cousin who was feeding her dog this food, my dog was always wanting to share. She is eating a lot better now.

This raw cat food is great. The company sources its ingredients from small organic farms and treats the animals used in the food ethically during their lifetimes. As someone who loves all animals (not only my own cat), this is very important to me.It's so convenient to feed. When I buy a new bag, I smash up the pellets into something more like a large dust, and then at mealtimes I dump out a portion of dust, add water to rehydrate, and I'm done.The change in my cat's poop is worthy of celebration. Her poop used to smell so nightmarish I literally had to interrupt Zoom meetings to go scoop it if she pooped during a call. It was unbearable. Now it doesn't smell even if I'm right there in the bathroom with her when she poops. The poop itself is also smaller and dryer now. I've sent photos of her poop to friends and family I'm so excited about this change, lol. Even if there were zero health benefit to feeding raw food, I would feed it for this reason alone.My cat loves this food and took to raw food right away. I did follow the gradual transition from her former food, so as not to give her an upset tummy. But she loves this new food.The cost actually comes out to about the same as the conventional cat food I had been using.If you're concerned about bacteria from raw food as I was, I encourage you to call the company and speak with them about it. The FDA has a "zero tolerance" policy for pathogenic bacteria in pet food, regardless of whether it's cooked or raw. There's the same standards across the board for all. That said, there have been occasional recalls of both conventional and raw pet food due to the discovery of the presence of bacteria in particular batches, so washing hands after touching any kind of pet food is probably a good idea. But since there are the same standards for bacteria content across the board for all types of pet foods, regardless of cooked status, that makes me feel much more comfortable with the concept of feeding raw.

This was the 3rd bag I think I got for my dogs. They really like this food so much it's like a treat to them. I've been giving them a little with other things for their breakfast and they hightail to their bowls when they know I'm about to serve their breakfast! They're not as enthusiastic about dinner!.I give my 32 lb Labradoodle a generous handful and my 19 lb Cobberdog a small handful as she's still a teenager. They both eat it right up. And I just started giving breakfast a couple of months ago so I feel a little bad. As long as they keep their weight down I'll continue. If they start gaining I'll make their dinners a little smaller.I chose Steve's over hundreds of other brands as it came highly recommended for its high nutrient ingredients. I'm so glad that my dogs love it so much!

I've been buying Steve's Real Food freeze-dried for a very long time ... probably/at least 2 years. I like that the Company doesn't load up their formulas with a ton of vits/minerals. The food is simply good food.I rotate it with other freeze-dried companies, but Steve's is my overall favorite and I've never been disappointed with the formulas I've been buying. My dogs love it and do really well on it: normal solid, not hard, poops. Hey! who doesn't love a good ... dog poop!The one I haven't bought is the lamb, but only because one of my dogs has borderline Pancreatis, and I've been able to keep that under control staying away from high fat foods.*side note: In case you're curious, I have Steve's Fish Formula in my Browser :-)

I'm picky about what I feed my dog, and researching dog foods can be mind boggling. Still, I hardly cook for myself (fortunately my wife does), so I stop short of cooking for my dog. Convenience has value too. So, in addition to high quality kibble (I prefer Carna4, Orijen, or Nature's Logic. Dump the Purina!), mixed with a little quality canned food, a half ounce of Steve's (or a sardine) and a little water, and I got a good smelly mush the way dogs love. No, it is not cheap, but neither are vet bills. And I hope to avoid a few vet bills down the line and also have a happier healthier dog.

My dog loves these dehydrated bites. She is not as fond of them if I soak them in water as they recommend and they have more of a smell to them when you add water. I add a few to her home made dog food or use them as a treat. This is not used as her primary food source. I do find if she eats many of them in a day or eats them over a few days she can get a bit of constipation. This is probably because I feed them dry.The ingredient list looks good and the price is reasonable for what you get. I do recommend these.

Both my cats and dogs love it. I like to include some raw in their diet. The freeze dried raw is very convenient and easy to re hydrate.

Someone had given me their bag of Steve’s dog food because their pet didn’t like it. My dogs love it! So I ordered more for them. Now I’m switching their food to Steve’s. They responded better physically than any other freeze dried dog food brand I’ve fed them.

Why because it is free from chemicals. The only thing it doesn't need is Coconut oil.
Top quality
If you go on their website and see how the food is produced you will see its top quality. Everything organic and contains nothing but real food. Tried my dog on so many tinned dog food but she had loose stools and tummy trouble with them all. But this has been a game changer. Costs 50% more than in the USA so I hope they find a way to bring the price down.
