Pretty good hold without being super sticky so it leaves a natural looking hold. Nice size and weight for the tin so it’s easy to throw in your pocket. there was a learning curve for styling my mustache - but firehouse extra tacky wax works the best for my hair. it holds firm even in the face of hot showers and humid weather. sometimes for more than a week at a time. i highly recommend this product for anyone who has unruly, wiry hairs! 10/10 this is the only wax i feel comfortable and confident using.

I've tried dozens of waxes, from normal to competition-grade. The picture was taken on a day when it was 93°F. This wax isn't the strongest hold, but it is, by far, the most lasting hold wax I've come across. It's pliable enough to readjust, and fix if it gets messed up, but strong enough to retain the shape you want. The color could be a little darker, but that's personal preference, as I have very dark facial hair. There's no scent, and comes out of the can easily with your thumbnail. I heat the wax on my finger with a blow-dryer to make for easy application. Washes out with some effort. I recommend heating your moustache with a blow-dryer to pre-strip the wax before washing. Overall, this is the best wax I've ever tried.

Comments:I am brand new to moustache wax, so I cannot compare this to others. I have a dark brown Selleck style stache (if I may be so bold) with some gray. The grays are less cooperative than I'd like them to be.This wax is a dark rust color and is CRAZY tacky. It is not visible on my dark brown stache. It has to be heated a couple minutes just to be pliable on the finger. Even then, it thickens again quickly afterward. This can lead to "clumpiness" if not applied carefully. That's the only reason for dropping a star. The product is nice and smooth as packaged. It leaves my stache feeling a bit stiff, but that may just be my learning curve. I am dialing in the right quantity to apply and trying to learn to properly spread the product throughout. I've read descriptions on how to do this, but have not seen any good videos. It does tame those wild hairs!If you over apply it, I think your best bet is to either jump in front of a warm shower head for several minutes, or just run with it as is. It is not as water soluble as I thought it would be, but it does wear off over the course of day. Just apply less next time.The scent is woodsy, smoky, and yes masculine, but subtly so. The container is a good quality aluminum container that seals adequately to protect the contents. If you're in similar circumstances as me with your stache, this is a good product to try. I will likely at some point try a less tacky wax just for comparison. But that's no reflection on the quality of this product, just me looking for the right consistency. If I do, I'll look to Firehouse again to see what else they offer.

It takes me longer to get ready in the morning than it does my wife these days. I blame this problem on my Handlebar mustache and the amount of grooming it requires.This wax, out of all the waxes I have used, is by far the strongest and longest lasting of the bunch. I can get my mustache wet, bent out of shape or what have you and it still forms right back up with a little help from the tiny comb.It helps to warm it with a hair dryer in the morning. If lacking a hair dryer, or not wanting to look too fancy in front of your best bros, you can scrape some with the back of a thumbnail and work it between your fingers until it's semi pliable. Again, this stuff is hardcore, it doesn't soften up much with finger action but will get juuuust enough to work with.I highly recommend this product and have found no other to replace it.Finally, as a Firefighter, I have been inside blowing and going structure fires, walked out and combed my mustache back into shape. This stuff holds tough on long mountain bike trips and runs, general PT sessions and anything else I throw at it.Give it a shot, it wont disappoint.Second finally, it doesn't have any smell which I personally like. Anything with too much scent, no matter how woodsy and manly, becomes quite overbearing when right under my nose holes.

Purchased this due to issues with other brands of wax. This mustache wax is easy to apply and holds well in the Texas heat. Price is reasonable. No noticeable smell or taste.

This is a very tacky wax as advertised. It even works during that awkward in-between stage where the moustache is long enough to get in your mouth but not long enough to be held away from the mouth by other waxes. THIS wax will hold those short stiff hairs and will keep you from munching on your moustache.The wax will hold your stache strong during rain or snow, hot or cold, humidity or dry. It's also surprisingly easy to wash off (hands & stache) considering how strong it is.This is the strongest ("tackiest") wax I have used. You don't need to use much at all. There is a 'smell' to the wax, it's not pleasant but not unpleasant. I can only smell it for a little while working with the wax and a few minutes after I apply. It's not distracting and goes away quickly. I know some people have complained about it, but I don't find it bothersome at all.The wax is dark in color but it doesn't darken my (blonde) moustache at all. It goes on neutral and I don't notice any change in shade. I imagine if you use a lot it COULD change the color, but I find a little goes a long way.I keep the tin in my pocket so it's warm and ready to work with if I need to re-apply during the day. But that might even be pointless because I've found that I haven't had to re-apply even once. I apply once in the morning and I'm good to go until bed!This is a great wax! It's very strong and seems like it'd hold up during a hurricane. I'll be ordering again once I'm low.

I’ve used lots of wax for my moustache and firehouse is by far the greatest product I’ve ever used, it’s got such a natural strong hold and lasts forever

Strong hold that's rubbery-pliable. The smell is like rubber that strangely/pleasantly hints honey. The wax isn't too sricky, no need for a hairdryer or an openflame, it's very practical for everyday use. It's the best most practical strong hold wax I've used. Highly recommend!
